Here's my list:

Mojo: madd maxx, because he's got a magical quality or Beverly because she's so calming and supportive;

We Can Do It: Red Rider because she's a racer chick or Pam because she crashes a lot and still gets back up.

Grover: This would be me because I'm so goofy.

Tux: DnvrFox, because he's kind of the host here since he started the forum.

UK: Stapfam, because he's from the UK

SD: DG, as previously stated

W: Wisconsin Badger for Tom Bombadil

I agree with your choices. :D

solveg 02-18-08 02:50 PM

Can I do the last ones, maddmaxx? I don't think anyone else is going to play ...

But this is fictional, right? We're not supposed to assume there's an actual owner on the forum these Jerseys? Because 7 should be Tom Bombadil, but he doesn't wear jerseys.

I do wear "jerseys" in the sense that they are modern dry-wick athletic gear jerseys. I must have 8 or so of them, paying an average of around $7-$8 each for them. Most are the Champion C9 jerseys from Target. I like them a lot.

But I don't own anything with a team logo or design on it. They aren't my style, and frankly, would look ridiculous out on the bike trail. Nobody on the trail is wearing that kind of gear. One could get away wearing something funny, or maybe a Wisconsin jersey, but if you are on a limestone bike trail, riding a hybrid, wearing a Discovery kit, nothing could scream "Poseur!" any more loudly.

I actually do have a pair of black baggy shorts with a Wisconsin "W" on them. I admit that these feel a little "gaudy" to me when I wear them.

solveg 02-18-08 03:22 PM

If I were 20 years younger, I'd love* to cruise around on an english 3 speed in a team kit. That would be hilarious.

OK. I really wouldn't do this, but the thought* of me doing it is funny, and you'd have to be young (and cute!) to pull it off.

Tom Bombadil 02-18-08 03:25 PM

I could wear this t-shirt:

Tom Bombadil 02-18-08 03:29 PM

It might be fun to ride in a group of 4 or 6 or larger, all wearing team kits, while cruising through the woods on a trail. If they were all the same kits, it sure would turn heads.

Tom Bombadil 02-18-08 03:34 PM

If I wore the Bombadil shirt, while riding a Rivendell Bombadil, I would have to be singing my theme song:

Or I could be playing this one on my boombox:

My yodeling would go so* well with that intro.

I think this would be a better upper Midwest jersey:

Where's that "Queen" jersey when we really need it?

solveg 02-18-08 04:46 PM

OK. Wow. Marvel Comics is really going to do this. We could all be different!

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2005/12/prweb319283.htm

PureHero launches its first collection of cycling jerseys, BMX-inspired jerseys, and performance crew shirts based on popular Marvel Universe characters, including Spider-Man, Captain America, Fantastic Four and the Punisher.

Edit. Never mind. Looks like it never got off the ground. The press release was 3 years ago.

Actually, I would be more likely to wear a West Virginia University jersey than a Wisconsin jersey.

So is it true that if a man and woman from W.Va. get a divorce that they're still brother and sister. (I think I'll go hide for awhile)

maddmaxx 02-18-08 08:32 PM

OK Solveg, take your best shot at all 12 knowing what you do now. The first group are 1 through 7 and the 2nd group are 8 through 12.

The answers are variable so some of the Jersey's may fit more than one 50+er. After you take your shot I'll list my original intentions. My jersey is #13 and I will post that later.

Q. Where was the tooth brush invented?

A. W.Va. (invented anywhere else...it would be called a teeth brush).:p

Got room for one more in that hiding place, JT?

Red Rider 02-18-08 11:24 PM

I'd like a New Jersey...:D

OK... it's hard! I have to run out today and only have a few hours before my wheel class tonight. But tomorrow I'll brew a pot of coffee and put my thinking cap on!

I really like this game, maddmaxx. It was a great idea.

solveg 02-20-08 09:05 AM

solveg 02-20-08 09:06 AM
