Another nice day for a MTB ride
70 degrees in Georgia today. What happened to winter? Took my son and his new MTB to Dauset Trails where we met several friends for a few hours of riding on some of my favorite trails. The boy is improving rapidly every time we ride. He still has to unlearn some of his road instincts, but he handled some fairly tricky sections with little trouble. And he managed to drop the old man on a couple of long climbs.
We stopped at a fantastic BBQ place after the ride and pigged out on some pig.

Lugnut and I sat out one short section to rest up while the others kept going. I was feeling a little beat up. I'm really looking forward to getting than new FS bike. Less than 2 weeks to wait.

Looks like Santa's selection of MTB's for your son was just perfect. He looks pretty fast on that thing!!
You're about 10 degrees warmer than us-but I sure hope we both get more rain......and a lot of it.

Wow, that looks like great fun. I'm jealous. I think it will be another couple of months before my MTB ride buddies will be willing to hit the trails again.

Great pics as usual. Somehow your camera captures more color than mine. All my pics seem to be white or grey or wet........

Will find out if the Hills have dried out today. First offroad ride for about 3 months so hope they have dried out a bit since last time.
Just can't believe the clothing your lot are riding. Its a 4 layer day here with the temp at 15 degreesF but it should warm up. And we have a Re-Cycled rider out for the first time in 3 or 4 years. Should be Fun.
And I learnt many years ago- If you are going out with a bunch of youngsters- you have to prepare their bikes for them. Low tyre pressures and a tight brake does give you more energy to show that you are still the man up the hills.
