You know cycling is starting to take over your life when....
..... you almost say "On your left" as you are about to pass a slower pedestrian ----- and you are at work, WALKING on a sidewalk to get from one building to another!

When there's no room for the van in the garage. It's being used to house bikes, bike equipment, camping equipment for the tours, store club jersey inventory and the winter home for park radios.

You realize that you're not checking out the handsome guy (gal) on the bike. You're checking out his (her) ride!

OK, OK. You know cycling is starting to take over your life when you check out the bike before you check out the cute engine.
Also, since we've been riding I find myself appreciating how good my husband looks on a bike and how physically competent he is. He in turn likes checking out my tush. So how's this: You know cycling is starting to take over your life when going on a long bike ride with your SO is like foreplay?

When you tell your wife you've decided to sign up for the MTB race team again even though you swore you'd never do that again and her response is "as if there was ever a chance that you wouldn't".

When you're walking along and look to your left where your rear view mirror is supposed to be to see what's behind you.
When your wife calls it your second job.
Don't ask me how I know this.

When you go out to dinner with friends who don't exercise and you mention that you're going on a 50-mile bike ride tomorrow morning... and they just look at you and don't respond.

But they say, "So you *only* got in 40 miles on your bike?" and give me a funny look.

....your washing machine gets more use from washing your cycling clothes than your 'work' clothes....and the house looks like a laundry in a formerly far eastern communist country because of all the cycling clothes hung up to dry all the time.
