Success for the Americans.

Jenny Reid won the womens Kieran event at the worlds- Beating The UK riders riders well and truly.

But I have to say it

Brits rule with 9 golds

Yanks at least are bringing something home!

Stapfam, it is hard, if not impossible to find cycling reports in our "normal sports media".

To bad

Even in the UK we have problems but TV coverage of MAJOR events will be covered by the BBC on TV- but far better is Eurosport on Satellite TV. They did not cover the Tour of California - or other events outside Europe--Very well but it was briefly covered in the news roundups- every day. But -Paris Nice had a 2 hour spot each day- The italian San-Remo to somewhere had a 3 hour programme for the highlights and the last hour on the road- Next weekend The tour of Flandres and shortly will be Paris- Roubaix. Tour de France is covered by Eurosprt virtually in full every day and there will be terrestial coverage by some channel or other.

But For general cycling news- The BBC sports page will cover fairly comprehensively on a daily basis.

One to put in your Favourites if you want to keep in contact with European Cycling

Yes, that is a bit of gold your Brits have taken at the Worlds. I've been a fan of Vickie Pendleton and kind of hated to see her lose the race in the way she did. Perhaps she simply started her sprint a bit too early. It was an exciting race, and Jenny Reid should be proud that she beat one of the best. This will most likely help her career.
