Yes...
...and it's very interesting being the "granny" in the fixed world...
Love the kids.
Love that more riders are experimenting with fixed gears.
Next I want a single speed...

I have a converted mid 70's Mercier road bike that accounts for about 5% of my rides. I'd ride it more if I had confidence in the drivetrain, the left crank arm loosens up on me once in a while, the back wheel is slightly off centre and I'm not sure how dependable the rear cog is. Mine is geared a little on the high side (45x15), too, it can be a very slow ride in a headwind!
Nice to ride on occasion, don't have the time to fix it properly!

Riding fixed gear since 1965; still use a 72-inch gear after all these years (51 x 19 on one bike and 48 x 18 on another). Haven't slowed down yet, as far as I can tell, but I don't think I'll ever surpass my personal track bike downhill speed record of 43.8 mph (try it sometime in a 72-inch gear).

hello
I caught the fixed gear bug back in 1994 when I read the reviews of and subsequently ordered an Ibis Scorcher. I've been hooked since.
Since that time, I've built and sold several fixed gear bikes.
Most of my rides are done on the fixed gear these days. I also have a dedicated single speed road bike as well when I feel like a slight change of pace, especially if there are long descents involved.
I occasionally bring out my geared road bike when I feel like riding something completely different. That usually happens just on long, difficult mountain group rides.
I also ride a mountain bike as well but am also in the middle of putting together a single speed mtb out of my spare frame and parts laying around.

Glad to see so many on this sub-forum have the same affection for these wonderful machines.
