Don't you all hate me, but I am kicking 138 lbs at 6ft 3in tall.

I hit the gym 6 DAYS A WEEK, I average an hour each workout.. This routine works for me, I wear 40 year old pants, they still fit.

No, not bragging, just giving some HINTS/TIPS on what to do to bang off and keep off weight. You gotta work at it.

Sure, you can ride some of the weight off, but it really comes off when you workout, and workout hard, and PLEASE watch what you eat...

I believe you are right. I just did a calorie count of all that i eat and it ended up being more that i burned. I went back to not eating certain things and have lost some fat. Now i should find time to do a workout a few times a week to help keep the loss permanent.

You get props!

And DO FIND THE TIME to get in some workouts. The benifits in the later years are PRICELESS!!

I recall watching one of the scare vids on staying healthy taking a P ed Class.. The people were saying they can't find time to workout, they are too busy. In the next scene they are wheeling them out on a strecher, with the notation, 'they will have all the time in the world now"..

Keep up the good work...

Just like when I preach exercise to non-exercisers, they claim when they do this and that at work that should be enough exercise. Wrong!!

Move that over to the bicycle, sure, the bicycle is good cardio exercise, but if you looking to curb/bring down your weight, IMO, you got to do more then just ride the bicycle. Watching what you eat, is a big factor in weight control. And IMO again, weight training can do wonders when the routine is tailored to the person.

BTW, it is about body type too.. I just happened to be a super ectomorph. My wife is a mesomorph. When we got married about a year ago, she was 6 ft tall, and weighing a solid 225 lbs. Now, she is an hour-glass sweet 185 lbs and still coming down. All the result of daily workouts and watching what she eats.

So, don't hate me, get on the bandwagon...

I am a MOTIVATOR!!

Keep DOING SOMETHING..

When you see this post, get down and give me 15 or more pushups!!

I recall back when I was 30 years old, couldn't do 5 pushups if my life depended on it..

Now, at 70 years, I can almost get tired counting!! That came from DOING SOMETHING, and watching what I eat!!

I know I got somebody on the bandwagon with this post!!

And don't laugh at my fishhead tennis either!!

And, I've been working out for 25 years, have a complete gym in the basement where I do all sorts of resistance exercises (including lots and lots of pushups and planks), swim 4-5 hours per week, bicycle 150 miles per week, walk many miles per week., stretch and eat pretty healthily.

Right at this time, I don't need a motivator or a cheer leader. I don't know about others.

My Basement gym

Great stuff!!

On the part where you don't need a motivator or cheerleader, then you don't have a WEIGHT PROBLEM!!

If you do, you might be doing the wrong routines..Workouts need to be gear to that person's goal.

If you are looking to tone up, and lose excess fat, there is a routine for that. If you want to bulk up, there is one for that. If want to have super strength there is one for that..

If you been banging it for 25 years, and don't need any thing, then YOU ARE WHERE YOU WANNA BE.. great!!

WArm hands!

Heated gloves! Ok, heated glove liners...you're not going to be riding 75+ mph, these should work well...

Heated glove liners...

Battery..https://www.warmnsafe.com/MPT-5200+%20spec.pdf
Any question, email or call. I've met them in person, good folks and will go out of their way to help.

After years of having cold hands and feet..my doctor said that warmth or coldth! is due to how many capillaries there are in your hands and feet...many=warm. fewer=cold...
OH yeah, I'm 68 (YEEACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and just started riding a bicycle again.... only way I can lose weight.
I find I gain weight when I go on motorcycle rides...people keep wanting to feed me...

Old Specialized. Some kind of "Comfort" bike, can't find a model number, but it's about 9-10 years old. Joined this forum for info on how to stop the adjustable handlebars from swinging up and down while I'm riding..... found this the link for old peeps...

Ok... let me differentiate here... guys can say they're old. Us ladies will never admit to it!
Take care and ride safe,

Sounds like a good idea. Just one problem --> "Perfect to Keep Hands Warm Either on 12, 9 or 7.4 Volts" -- so where do you put the battery/batteries? I don't want to be riding with loose wires dangling all over the handlebars.

Around here they sell battery holders that strap to any convenient place, like your waist for instance. These are for mushers but they would work for any application short of inter-stellar exploration.
