Looks like you're having fun playing with the iPhone. :)
I upload pictures from my iPhone to my Mac and then post them online. That way the pics are full sized.

From today. This time I took the photos while holding the iPhone in landscape mode, and am posting from my iPad instead of my iPhone.

Well both uploads failed, because the files were too large to upload on bikeforums. Only teeny tiny files less than 20 kb can be unloaded here, and I'm really not interested in reducing the files to tiny icon size. This forum is really awful in this regard. :(

TejanoTrackie 07-14-16 08:02 PM

So today I opened an Imgur account so I can upload my photos in full size and definition, and then copy the links here. Kind of complicated, but at least it works. The iPhone camera is amazing !

Yes the iPhone is great. Glad to see you got the picture thing figured out. :thumb:
Great pics. :)

68 here, I'm in. I'd like to hear from our elders.

RonH 07-16-16 11:56 AM

Welcome. Tell us about yourself, where you ride and how often. What do you think of your Trek. My 16 y/o grandson has a Trek 7.2 and loves it.
Got any pics of the bike?

BigBlueToe 07-16-16 07:45 PM

Me too!

I have the 50+ jersey. When I turned 60 I hoped Mr. Corlew would produce a 60+, but I think I read a post saying he wasn't interested. Hmmmmm......

I'm 66 too. I got back into riding last February after five years off the bike. I didn't know how my aging body was going to adapt, considering I was basically starting from scratch. But I guess I'm lucky because after a few painful weeks I was back in the groove. My legs and aero continue to adapt and get stronger. The 40-mile hilly ride I did today caused no muscle aches or other discomforts -- I sense I'm about halfway to being really fit and can say with confidence that if you're in your mid-60s, you've still got the goods to put in some serious miles.

Trouble is, many of us have "aged out" of local clubs. And though I enjoy solo riding, I miss riding with a small group of people my age. We have the same heros, the same physical challenges, and the same delusions about how fast we were when young. And we can ridicule "advances" like hydraulic disc brakes without fear of contradiction by some snot-nosed know-nothing 40-year-old.

So I'm thinking of creating a Tuesday morning Meetup of sport cyclists over 60 who are in good enough shape for a 20-mile ride through the Berkeley Hills. It would be a social thing, not competitive, with no drops and a few stops to regroup. The really fit guys would be allowed to go off on their own adventures after the first big climb, which we'd do together as a group. I can't think of a better way to spend a Tuesday morning and feel privileged I can still do so at my age.

Come on down to FL. Where I live the groups have all ages between mid 50s to late 70s. There are several riders who are over 75 who leave me in the dust. I'm just a kid of 71. :innocent:

Congrats on the birthday and the win. I am two weeks away from 70. Never been a racer or any sort of bicycle superman, but I'm planning a fixed gear century in September to celebrate the birthday.

Unwanted ads in my posts.

Anyone know how I can stop random ads from being inserted in my posts?

It's July so 'the yellow bike' is always ready to ride.

71 years old here; just finished my first counterclockwise trip through the Colorado National Monument:

I had gone the other way 20 and 25 years ago. It seemed much easier then...

Thanks. Here's a picture of the end of favorite ride, to Fruita, Colorado, home of Mike the Headless Chicken. Google him to find out more about this bizarre sculpture.

How about... >65 and I still like bike.

^^^
This has been discussed many times and no one is interested in doing another jersey design or special order.

Yes, you got the pics figured out.
I just this evening ordered an upgrade from an iPhone 4 to an SE and am expecting to be amazed, at least by the pictures - the 4's camera is mediocre compared to my basic Canon Elph HS 100. (I use photobucket to upload images to for posting.)

I smoke. Love to smoke. My avatar showes me next to my totally custom, high tech, not much oem left, smoker. Smoke salmon, ribs, chicken, etc...

Smoking. That other kind of smoking I neither participate in, nor want to be around folks that do.

I am 69+ and most days ride my Surly Troll 10-20 miles, when it is not too hot or too cold here in North Central Florida. On days that exceed what I consider a comfortable and safe temperature range (for me), I head to my exercise room which has a stationary recumbent on which I can do the same workout.

Smoked mullet is good too. :thumb:
Where abouts do you ride in north central Florida? I usually hit the Withlacoochee Trail in the northern section (Hernando or Inverness). When cooler weather comes back I'm thinking of riding the Suncoast Trail (where there is NO shade :o). I haven't been there since we moved from *****assa (near the north end of the Suncoast) to Lecanto.
