Curtis,

Got my Jerseys today in Oakton, VA. I ordered a bit small, they will be a great inspiration to keep on my diet, 30 pounds to a great fit.

I got my rain vest and I'm glad it's a 2XL. It should fit nicely when I drop the last 20 lbs but is a bit tight around the pits.

Thanks.

A bummer! A new BikeForums jersey that I won't have in my collection. :(

If anyone has a large they want to get rid of, PM me.

Here you go!! Nice job Curtis, thank you very much for taking this on. :thumb:

Jersey and Jacket arrived today and fit perfectly.
I'm sure if you do take on this task again that my jealous friends will want me to get them one too.
Thanks Curtis.

Curtis,

Thanks for the jersey and jacket! Maybe if I work as hard on the bike as you did on the jersey order I can drop a few pounds.

Thanks again for all your hard work.

Got one of mine today and it fits! I'll try to post a photo later this weekend. Thanks Curtis!

Did that on our tandem back in the mid-70s!

Nice bike Metric Man!

:D Thank you swan.

BTW Curtis, I didn't notice on the original picture that you posted, the phrase on the back of the collar "Dulcius ex asperis". Nice touch, and it goes along with my Scottish heritage nicely too. :thumb:

Here's another one:

This must be one sharp lookin' jersey - I actually had a full-kit roadie hang back and talk with me for a while on my ride today. This never happened before when riding in my "generic" no-logo jerseys.

Then he dropped me!

OldLog 07-12-08 12:26 PM

As some one new to this forum let me say they are a great looking design. Well done.

Jay Andriot 07-12-08 01:49 PM

OK, here's a shot of me in the jersey

I'll do another when I've lost weight, 'cause right now this jersey is beyond tight.

Mine arrived today thanks. I'll post a pic as soon as I can figure out how to do that.

My first jersey was pretty tight, but this one, an XXL, is perfect. Glad I ordered one size larger for the jacket too, cause that fits perfect.

Thanks, Curtis!

Thanks, Curtis!

Guess it depends on how you like a wind jacket to fit. Having had some team stuff from this mfg. before I find a large jacket or vest fits perfect to not flap around but still have room even though I need an XL jersey.

Brian_1 07-12-08 04:29 PM

When's the long sleeve version coming?

bcoppola 07-12-08 05:40 PM

No pics yet; I'll take some next week. But I gave the jersey a good tryout on the One Helluva Ride (MI) metric century (63mi) route. I was worried that it's too small -- it fits a bit tighter than I'm used to and I was trying to resist buyer's remorse -- but it didn't bind or ride up or bust any seams. And it was even comfortable wet after going thru a brief heavy thundershower. I basically forgot it was on. So it'll be in heavy jersey rotation for sure. However, with my new desk job adding some extra "contouring" to my physique it looks a tad overstuffed. ;)

Alas, no comments (about the jersey, not the bod) along the ride.

I'll wear it on the Holland Hundred next Saturday and Mrs. will be there to take a pic at the start.

New Specialized shallow drop/short reach handlebars and stem worked out great too.

Yep, but now it starts in Chelsea. Not all routes went through Hell - the metric didn't. This was my first time on it. Pretty ride.

PrairieDog 07-12-08 05:42 PM

Mine's here! Thanks for doing this, Curtis--I love it!

Condorita 07-12-08 06:06 PM

Completely forgot to grab mine this morning! I guess having that flat was the shirt's payback.

Bit snugger in the hips than I usually prefer, but I can live with it. (How come working it off takes longer than snacking it on?)

Okay here's me with jersey and my ride.

ticwanos 07-12-08 08:59 PM

Got mine! It fits perfectly everywhere but around the waist:(but that's something I can do something about. (Yeah, right.)

seenoweevil 07-13-08 03:32 AM

They look great! I'd also be interested in one if you get another order together!

DanoC 07-13-08 02:46 PM

Got mine and rode 54 miles with it on today. Lets see if I can post before and after pics.

qcpmsame 07-14-08 11:05 AM

Monica and I got ours Friday, they look so neat. We will post pics when we get a chance. Thanks Curtis.

LynnH 07-14-08 05:12 PM

I got mine, and I rode faster than ever when I wore it on Sat. I like it alot! Thanks Curtis

cccorlew 07-14-08 05:15 PM

Wow. I'm loving the photos!
I wore my new jacket in the Seattle to Portland... and I forgot my camera. I was sooooo annoyed.
Maybe the official shots will look good.

Curtis
Thanks for ordering and shipping the jerseys. I wore mine Saturday on a club ride and was the envy of the group.
I took a picture but can't figure out how to post it, tried but it didn't work.
So just imagine an old bald guy standing on the deck of the Donner Ski Ranch Lodge, at the top of Donner Pass Road, outside of Truckee Ca, in his new 50+ jersey, smiling.

I can picture that, having skied there for the amazing price of (wait for it...) $4.
Yep, mid week in the late 70s.

vtc12ip 07-15-08 10:46 AM

Got mine. Thanks for all the great work. Pics to follow.
