I've been on vacation for a couple of weeks. When I returned to the office today, it was there waiting for me.....It fits great. At least it will when I work off the pounds I put on over the last few weeks.

Thanks for putting this together again Curtis.

OK - I got photos to share. Wore the 50+ jersey to work and back today.

These are post-ride pictures. What you can't see is the sweat soaking everything. It's gotten hot and humid finally in the Chicago area.

That's an XL club cut jersey. I must extend my appreciation to Weight Watchers for helping me to improve the fit over the last several months. Earlier this year this jersey would have been a bit snug just below the "50".

Thanks again to Curtis for the design and the effort to help get these to all interested parties.

Here's me in mine. These are the demo photos from the Seattle to Portland ride. I need to figure out how much I'm willing to spend to buy their prints now.

I got to try the vest. Really liked it. It took just enough chill out of teh morning and was small enough to stuff in the rear pocket.

The jacket is fine, but I think the sleeves are too big around. Not a lot, just a hair. I'd have liked it to fit tightly.

A sewing machine can quickly fix that:) A serger would be even better.

I got my short sleeved jersey last Friday and kept waiting for my long sleeve to arrive. I was going to wave the red flag if it hadn't arrived in yesterday's mail (not the Curtis flag, the US Postal Service flag :D). It was there when I got home from work...guess they just had to change horses. Still working on getting some pics.

Edit: Thanks again for all your hard work Curtis

Wow. They all went out at exactly the same time. The post office. Enough said?

Absolutely. That's why I didn't bother contacting you as it was out of your hands when you handed the package to the postmaster. Some horses on the pony express are slower than others. :)

I learned a couple of years ago with this brand to order my vest and jacket one size smaller if you are like me and don't want flapping around.:thumb:
Every brand is different.

I'm new to Bike Forums. I would really like one of those jerseys. When you place the next order would it be possible to ask if any new members would like to purchase the 50 plus and the new one yet to be designed. Thanks

Couldn't agree more about Weight Watchers, I am down 60 lbs. I got the XL Club cut Jersey, it's a bit loose, I think maybe I should have gotten the Race cut. But no matter it's great.

Thanks again Curtis, it a fantastic job you've done.

Very cool, more WW converts! I'm down 55 lbs and just 10 more to go. :thumb:

I picked up a 50+ jersey on the black market... still 20 years shy of the big 5-0, but figured I should plan ahead. No pics, but it does match my my red and black fixie perfectly.

OldLog 07-24-08 07:20 AM

Add me to the list if and when you decide to place another order.

BigBlueToe 07-24-08 10:07 AM

Curtis-
I just arrived home from a month-long tour (actually two weeks riding time and two weeks of driving, visiting, etc.) to find a package waiting. It's my 50+ jersey! It fits great. I can't wait to wear it at my next century and see if any other old coots are wearing theirs. Thanks again. I really appreciate your willingness to do this.

- A Happy Old Coot

P. S. Is there a 60+ forum? I've only got 3 more years.

Wear it proudly Joe. :thumb: BTW, where did you find one on the open market?

Joe Gardner 07-26-08 05:51 PM

It was on the black market, the underbelly of bikeforums. ;)

Denver had to work on me pretty hard to get this forum created, I'm glad its here! I like the jersey, its one of my favorite designs so far.

warren goodwine 07-27-08 10:51 AM

If anybody has any info on extra availability of a 50+ jersey I'd love to buy one !!!!!! Thanks Warren

stringbreaker 07-27-08 01:50 PM

I'd like to know if Curtis is going to do another order.

Do do realise that the 50+ jersey has a lot of Reasons behind it- The number of times I have been asked what the 50+ is for is beyond a joke. Is it for 50mph+?..... So how many times have you done a century ride then?.....So what other Mountains have you climbed to make 50+ or was it just 50 times up this one?

And the best one of all was on a ride where another group had Soccer shirts on numbering 1 to 11 and I was asked what position I played.

Work your own excuse out for wearing this cherished jersey- but wear it with pride.

warren goodwine 07-27-08 03:34 PM

How many jerseys need to be order to create a new order ? It sounds like we could gather a few up. And I'am sure its a bit of a job for Curtis but could we be of help or do something to make it worthwhile to do ?.

davitom 07-27-08 07:36 PM

50+ jersey

I just discovered the forum and the jersey. Like several before me, I am interested in when or if there will be another order. I emailed to the older guys in our group and it was almost unanimous, WE NEED ONE. Please consider another order and share the joy with some good ole boys in SC.

Yen 07-27-08 07:50 PM

Welcome to all the newbies!!!

Curtis already said he is considering another shirt order. Let's let him recover from the last one. But rest assured, the wait is worth it.
