n+1 strikes again
The last bike I bought was in '01, so this was about 7 years overdue. But here it is:
http://tinyurl.com/5oclos It's a used frame, which I 'frankenbiked' using lots of parts from my spares drawers. (My V-Rex is now missing a cassette.) The hardest part to come up with was the custom BlazingPedals-built front disc hub for the 80mm dropout fork. |
Wow is that low to the ground! How does it ride?
Batman's going to be pissed when he finds out you have his bike!
Thought recumbents were supposed to make the back and neck more comfortable. If I was riding that one- I would be straining to look over the top of my feet.
Love it, love it, love it. Not even on PBP have I seen anything quite like it.
Now your screen name makes sense to me. Holy chain lube. You've got to use almost an ounce of lube everytime you clean and lubricate that chain.
That is way cool - I don't care how it rides, it looks totally rad.

It's even got lumbar support! Sweet! I love the look. :thumb:
Groovy. Cool.
too bad you wrapped your brand new bike around a tree and flattened it :)
Looks like it should have headers and chrome exhaust pipes!
I'd love to take that thing down my favorite local mountain. Nice! |
You see, that's what happens when you don't follow the instructions.
Damn !!!
Now that is what I call EYE CANDY !!!! |

Wow that's pretty cool. But I'd be afraid my hair would get caught up in the tire or the remnants of what I rolled over stuck in the vents in my helmet. :p
Oh baby! That's one sweet looking build.
I'd love to try out a lowracer someday. Once I retire I'll probably have to make my own. Around this town we barely have any recumbents let alone something like this. Probably something to do with the risks of the rider being lower than the hubcaps of all the trucks and SUV's out there. |

Very cool...I assume this is the frame builder. http://www.velokraft.com/-vk2.htm. I noticed that you adjust the equivalent of the seat height by extending the crank set forward and back. I assume that this affects the rear derailleur?
I've never seen a bike like that. It's impressive and looks aggressive. How does it ride?
Congrats, BP!
