I hate to admit this, but I agree on the blah-ness of blueberry pie.

But I'm happy to try another sort.

Or would chocolate brownies do at a pinch? I do make a seriously good chocolate brownie.

I have to work next sat. I usually ride a motorcycle to work if I walk the 100 yards to starbucks at break and have a danish, a muffin and a latte then ride 20mi on the bicycle after work would that count.

Not that I need an excuse to ride, I'm in. Mostly because I do need an excuse to bake a pie.

Thanks for that link Bluesdawg. My pie recipe is pretty much the same thing but believe I noticed an error I had with the crumb topping. Was using twice as much sugar as flour, no wonder the wife thought it was too sweet.

I've heard of Carbon credits- but PIE credits would be a new one on me. Anyone ever done this before and what is the Exchange rate?

I'm willing to eat the pie - actually, more than willing. My problem is that I might have to pay somebody to ride the 15 miles for me. Since it's already going to cost me around $30.00 or $40.00 out of my own pocket for the privilege of sagging the century ride, I don't think that I should have to do that.

Much as it pains me to say it-I'm not in. Due to some continuing leg problems I've been pieless for a month. Hoping to start riding again in a couple of weeks. Hope springs eternal!

It just so happens that I am on tap for one of my rare social rides with others on the 20th in Massachusetts. Since I have lost 6 lbs in the last 2 weeks after stopping the attenalol I think that I will make mine an everything with anchovies.....

My club was trying to organize a pie ride for Saturday, but between soccer schedules, family obligations and out of town rides, we couldn't come up with a time when more than a couple of people could make it. So I'll just ride near home with my wife and son. I had picked up a frozen cherry pie to supplement the blueberry pie another club member will make. Looks like my pie will be cherry this time. Get over it, Dnvr.

Despite numerous attempts, there has never been a consensus reached on the narrow criterion of blueberry only for a qualifying pie. Viva la choice!

Don't know about honor but I can definitely attest to the taste, or utter lack of taste, within this group.
