Howdy there

Okay, today I can officially be part of the gaggle..., uh, I mean, distinguished group of cyclists here. My plans for the day (I took today off from work):
  1. Ride with my son to his school and then a nice loop back home.
  2. Go down to my shop and build the wheels for my reincarnated touring bike; maybe even mount some of the other components that got delivered yesterday.
  3. Seafood dinner with the family unit.
  4. Engage in some sort of activity to make me sleepy tonight.

In the next month I hope to do a nice overnight intro tour with my son to a nature preserve in middle Georgia. We decided this spring to try touring instead of backpacking this fall, due to all the PUDs* in north Georgia.

I hope everyone has as good a day as I have planned.

* Pointless Ups and Downs

The seafood and spirits make for a great nights sleep. Sounds like the day in the life of a king.

Enjoy

Welcome to the dark side Jeff. You'll find your birthday wishes in the Foo section. Since you're off today, disregard the part about the great commuting weather.

Are you really 50?? I thought you were about 42-43.

Sounds like a good plan for today and the plan to do bike touring with your son.
I'm working this afternoon so if you need any bike parts stop by the shop for a visit. Haven't talked with you in months.

Stay safe.

Last post of the day:

1. Good ride this morning with my son and then home. This is just about the best weather for biking.
2. Two wheels built but not completely trued--but at least I got the right spokes in the right holes. Both derailleurs cleaned up and mounted, headset installed, front disc brake caliper installed. Having hope that the bike will be through by month's end.
3. Great dinner, even got our teenage son to talk to us.
4. Bed time soon. (sorry Mojo Slim, no pictures... )
