we can all sit here and say if you feel this or feel that then it's this or that. The only way you can really tell is by seeing your doctor on Monday and having an x ray taken. I've had both, pulled chest muscle and broken rib, and all I can say is that when I thought it was one it turned out to be the other, both very painful. Go see your doctor.

Thanks.

I posted yesterday that I went to the ER, had the xray, got the diagnosis of broken rib, and am now healing with some drugs and a husband who waits on me hand and foot. He's a good man.

Until this week theh only bone I ever broke was a pinky toe. I'm used to self-inflicted pain, thus my confusion over the source of my pain. Now that I know, if there's a next time, I might not wait so long to get a medical evaluation.

sometimes just knowing what it is, starts making it feel better. Hope you are 100% real soon.

Thanks to all of you who gave RR good advice on going to see a doctor. Of course I told her the same thing several days ago :bang: but would she listen to me? :innocent: Of course not. I know many of you will find it hard to believe but RR is a very strong willed woman. She was unwilling to listen to me though I have engaged in sports that cause broken bones and severe injuries thus immediately recognizing the symptoms of a broken rib. After 29 years together I have learned to just let her figure it out on her own when she doesn't want my advice.

The good thing is that she is now on the road to recovery, and being the tough cookie she is I don't think it will be long before she is back on the bike. I sure she will keep you all posted of her progress.

Dang, Red Rider, so sorry to hear this. Hang in there and get well. My sister had a crash on her bicycle Sunday and broke two ribs. She is really hurting right now.

This is a streak we need to stop immediately!

The only broken ribs I want are spare ones- Barbecued spare ribs.
