New Equipment

Nope. Not a bike. I just got a new knee. I delayed long enough. My average speed on long rides had dropped from 16 MPH to 11 MPH over the last 2 years. Hopefully, after a winters worth of physical therapy, I will be back up to 16 or better.

I ride 5,000-6,000 miles per year. The surgeon said my old knee was "bone-on bone and polished like marble".

Congrats....titanium, steel or carbon?

I chose titanium for my left knee.....just purchased a road bike and rode a recumbent for awhile. You will love getting along without all of that 'bone to bone' interruption. Do yourself a favor and max out on the P.T. ....it is worth it!
Look forward to hearing about how well all is going.

After getting past all of the ickiness of the knee description ... best of luck to you. Let us know how it goes.
