Between Ponca and Boxley, Arkansas. Elk were stocked around the Buffalo River a few years ago, and can often be seen in the fields near the river, early or late in the day.

From today's ride. 75 degrees. November 17!

When we got back to our local cafe for a Coke, we were at 90 miles. Gene said he'd never done a century. Always ready, I responded, "Let's Go!" This next picture was taken at my driveway.

View from Row River rail to trail. Taken this September. The Row River trail is a 25 mile out and back. It was so nice that day I did it twice.

This is last Saturday's 60 mile solo ride in north central Texas. Everyone knows that Texas is really flat.

If you look real close in the last picture you can see one on the other side of the valley.

No wait, here's a picture with a car.

The northern hill country of Texas is one of the best kept secrets.

just a couple from Holiday last year.

First one is of the training- but in between the bike and the village is a 600ft drop- second is the important Carbo loading and the third is what I trained for. And the cloud that was on top was still there when I didn't see the view 3 hours later.

From today's ride: I'll bet no one can guess what this nationally significant sculpture is (was). For the answer, see the fifth paragraph in this link. Hint: Jimmy Carter.

Just some generic Alex OEM wheels that came with the bike. I think they weigh about 3Kg. LOL. But on a fixie that's only going to see mild rollers they work fine.

The first time I hammered up a short hill on a fixie, I tried to coast over the top. Nope. I got jolted out of the seat. You gotta keep pedaling!
