My pumpkin
This is the Alan Shorter bike custom bike (from London) circa 72. When I decided her Nuovo Record bits and tubular wheels weren't for me I posted her on Ebay. After getting a top bid not much higher than half her parts were worth I sold them off separately.
Since then I had decided to rebuild her cheaply for resale. Instead I found an eight speed Campy Chorus group with a few extras for $300. Here she is rebuilt - and renamed Pumpkin. I have not ridden her yet and she needs to have her RD straightend (not shifting properly). Note the camo tape and matching annodized 105 brake calipers. The suede saddle may be replaced if Pumpkin stays in my stable.

Did you notice the green annodied brake caliper? Both the tape and caliper were oddballs waiting for a home. I often buy discounted styles/colors of tape, then keep them for months - until I find the perfect use
