A Leisurely Noon-time 65+ Ride

A Leisurely Noon-time 65+ Ride

temp - about 39F, wind 5 mph, sunny with a few clouds.

Some pics (taken with my cell phone camera) from my ride along our trail system to Subway for lunch and return today. I love riding our plowed trails when there is a bit of snow around.

BELOW - Scenes along the trail, my "utility bike."

BELOW: The Trail splits - to the left over the bridge S. 14 miles to rural Franktown, to the right 25 miles to downtown Denver and parts beyond, up to several hundred miles.

BELOW This about 1/2 million dollar bicycle bridge was just built by our rec dept so folks could get over the gully to the shopping center on the right. You also see two fingers! Heck, it is used by at least 10 folks per day! There is a ramp up to the bridge on the left that I didn't et in the picture.

OK, so it's a boring thread!

I give up on ride pics for just-for-fun rides.:D

11 views over 3 hours.

You guys really know how to - well, you know!

Very nice pics! Who plows the trails, is it the city? I think it's great when bike paths are useful to go places instead of just riding in circles.
Things have been a little slow around BF, it's the time of year.

The city

Let's see what happens when I retitle it:

"Naked Pictures of 50+ Bicyclers."

Right now,

"A Leisurely Noon-time 65+ Ride" has 44 views, while

"Naked Pictures of 50+ Bicyclers" has 69 views.

And "A Leisurely Noon-time 65+ Ride" has been up for about 4 more hours then "Naked Pictures of 50+ Bicyclers."

You guys ought to be ashamed of yourselves!

So this was an experiment? A test?

Some years ago the man who started "The Death Ride" in Northern California advertised it with 2 names, but equal exposure. "The Tour of the California Alps" got only a few responses while "The Death Ride" got hundreds, and now sells out so fast it has a lottery to get entries.

What's in a name?

Well, it didn't start out that way, but after my original thread was roundly igonred, I turned it into one!

Why do we generally ignore the less "sexy" threads? Hey, it takes a lot of work to edit, resize and post all those pictures.

Not to mention the time and exquisite care required to get those fingers in exactly the right position.

Yeah - it's my new cell phone camera. Not much "holding space." You should have seen the first pics I took with it. I'm getting better.

What I like is that the pictures are satisfactory - not excellent, but good enough to share with this bunch of lousy old-timers. Meaning that I never have to worry about carrying a camera with me, as I always have my CP. Of course, that doesn't work if no one views the thread, Sort of like that tree in the forest - if no one sees the tree fall, did it fall? - or something like that!

Nice pictures. It looks cold there. I'd be bundled up.

Hey. I was gone all day. I LIKE your original thread and like these type of "here's my standard ride" pictures. I don't get to ride post-snow anymroe, so it's fun to see white stuff on the ground. OK. I did look at the other thread, too.
