50+ jersey ORDER thread. Get 'em here!

ORDERS ARE CLOSED
Order sent to manufacturer 5-19-09
We've hit the minimum order number, so this is a hard deadline now!

Here we go again. It's jersey time. So many people posted they wanted in I thought,
I may be nuts, but I'm going to try it. And I've designed shorts/bibs too!
No socks though, the minimum is just too high.

Payment info so far: PLEASE CHECK
Now sorted alphabetically

Jersey (same look for long sleeve, sleeveless, jacket and vest)

Really large image at http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2230/...229c07f6_o.jpg

Here's me (on the left, with my wife the right) in my 50+ jacket on the Waves to Wine ride last year..

Here's another recent photo of us in jerseys

Shorts (also as bibs)

Larger photo at http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3224/...ed0c1c8d_o.png

Please read all this first:

* Please oh please read and follow the order directions with care.
* I will update (edit) this post with a table of order info to confirm your order.
*Please check back a few days after you order and make sure it's right
* For "big news" I'll add a new post in the thread that references this one.
* The jersey is the jersey, I can't make any changes, no matter how small, without starting the whole process over again with new minimum orders and everything.
* Check the sizing chart below. Don't even think about the race fit jersey unless you race and are almost a pro and rail thin. Club cut is the way to go for almost all of us.
* This process takes longer than you think, waiting for orders, having them made, getting them shipped. Don't expect this to be like a real store. Like over 6 weeks after I order to get them to send out.
* Posting here is fine, but your actual order is the Paypay message (and money) I get.
* On the plus side, I've done this four times (or is it five?) and haven't run off with the cash yet. Your jersey will arrive someday.
* I'm a teacher and an artist and not a businessman. I'm doing this just because it's fun and neat to see these pop up all over.

* Orders close on May 17 Don't send money after that!
* Outside the USA? Message or email me and we'll work out postage. It will be more. I got killed on a couple of non-USA orders last time.

What you can get, and how much it costs:

Short Sleeve Jersey $60
Sleeveless Jersey $60
Long Sleeve Jersey $67
Wind Vest $58 (note, no women specific sizes, order smaller)
Wind Jacket $65 (note, no women specific sizes, order smaller)
Shorts $67
Bib Shorts $75
Prices include shipping to USA

Sizes available:
xs, s, m, l, xl, 2xl, 3xl, 4xl women, club, race (except where noted above)

Fine print:
This is a not-for-profit effort. One of my personal goals is to not end up being out of pocket in doing this.
Because of that, I have no room for error. I can't make refunds or changes to completed orders. I can't change sizes after I place the order.
This entire process will take a while. I've put a four week deadline for payment, and the company takes a about 6 weeks to make them.

Here's my personal take on sizing. Your mileage may vary.

I'm 5'7 and weigh generally about 148-156

Jersey-- Medium fits me, and fits about like most ride jersey's I've bought in the past.
Jacket -- seems roomy to me. The arms seem very roomy. Room for clothes under with no problem
Vest -- Tighter than the jacket. I like it because it doesn't billow in the wind at all.

Bibs -- I have both medium and large. I normally wear medium. These mediums are snug. The large is loose. I can wear both, but like the large. They are my only large bibs.

This is what I find. Others have different observations, and hopefully will weigh in here until we are all totally confused.

Race cut versus club cut jersey

Do you have a photo of the race cut jersey? I assume what you have already pictured is the club cut, right?

Thanks a bunch!

No, I don't. Maybe someone else can come through. I can tell you that it would be really tight on me, even at my current 144 pounds.

Good front view. Do they have pockets on the back for food, etc? If they do what holds the pockets closed?

Yep. Three pockets in the jersey! You can kinda see them white outlined in the rendition.

Thank Curtis.

You might want to check your flickr links (i.e., you inventory of large images), however. All I get is a Yahoo/Flickr logon window.

Wore my large club-cut short-sleeve jersey for the first time on an organized metric on Saturday. I were stylin'!

It fit and wore really well. I notice that it hangs a bit lower in the back than most of my jerseys, and the pockets were really deep. That was fine though.

I may need to get a medium if I lose a bit more weight. I could be convinced...

I've dropped in an image of who has paid, and what they ordered.
Please check it if you ordered and let me know if I've made an error!

I think it's pretty normal. It certainly isn't thick, or gooshy like those gel shorts.

I'm always relieved when enough people have actually ordered that I have the minimum. I have nightmares about having to send back money and personally pay the paypal fees for it all.

But we've hit the magic number!

Curtis, I have question (that I haven't seen yet); does Champ Sys consider a color change to be a different design? IOW, if you changed the jersey to, blue, or whatever, but all the graphics remained the same, would you have to start from scratch?

I participated in the NorCal one, and after being told the jersey was dark blue (from a couple years ago), I've come to the conclusion that it may as well be black, and I'm not a big fan of red.

The jersey is the jersey, I can't make any changes, no matter how small, without starting the whole process over again with new minimum orders and everything. Plus, I surely can't change in the middle of the order!

How could you not like red?
