Saturday's ride - pics
Saturday was unusually warm for this time of year - over 25 C - so I finally was able to ride without leg warmers, winter jersey, and overbooties. I did a nice 60km loop of an island called Ile Perrot just off the western tip of the Island of Montreal. I also experienced that rare phenomenon of having a strong wind against while outward bound and that same strong wind at my back on the way home. Dividing the ride into four sections, I had the wind against, with, cross, and with.
Crossing over the bridge to Ile Perrot. This is a temporary bike path while road construction is ongoing.
Across a pedestrian bridge.
About to be passed.
Looking back towards Montreal. That's Mount Royal in the middle of the city.
Railroad bridge crossing the St Lawrence river. The water is very high and current very strong this time of year.
Some bike path decoration thanks to local graffiti artists
All the cool kids are getting tatoos.

I don't see any snow or ice. Could it be that Spring has arrived to my neighbor to the north?
Judging from the nice pictures you had a great ride.
Thanks for sharing.

Great shots...we have visited Montreal on two occasions many years ago. We skied at Chanteclair and did a tennis camp at Mont Blanc. We spent a couple of days in Montreal on each occasion.
