OMG I just ordered a white bike with a Brooks saddle

I have been looking for quite a while for a bike to use as a commuter and maybe even someday take a weekend overnight trip. I have been corresponding for a while with a guy who has a WHITE Lemond Poprad and he has a Brooks saddle on it. Well, we agreed on a price and today I sent him a check. I will have to be patient now and just wait for it to get here. I am expecting it to ride nice and I suppose I can always paint it and put a real seat on it.

That's a great bike; the disc brake version is popular here as a winter bike/commuter.

Definitely get a can of spray paint and fix the color mistake on the frame, and you'll have a nice bike.

BTW, that bike is now no longer being made, since Trek and Greg Lemond broke up. But it has reappeared as the (Trek-made) Gary Fisher Presidio:

I think the price went up...

A person who contrasts "Brooks" and "real saddle" is clearly not qualified to own any bike that doesn't have an Ashtabula crank. Might as well leave it white.

BB, you are correct the bike is no longer being made as a Lemond but the Gary Fisher Presidio seems to be the same bike with the same dimensions. The Gary Fishers have a lot of upgrades and are pricey at ~$1900. The used Poprads are holding their value pretty well too. I have never ridden one, but I know I like the ride of good steel and have never read a bad review of one. I also like the fact that it is made in the USA like my Litespeed. If it doesn't work out I will just sell it and try again.
