Just got back from a 25 mile recovery ride - yesterdays club ride did a number on me. Thinking about some of the rides I did last year and what I would like to do this year and how to prepare. Every year it's an uphill battle in the spring.

Last year I participated in this event http://www.ididaride.org/ - 2009 it is in August again. A great ride, fantastic scenery with a great party after. Check out the video and the photos from 2008. If you are looking to do something this summer I would highly recommend it - and it supports a good cause. I'll be there again!

It's on my schedule again. Maybe this year I'll find a ride.

I hope you do - I know you wanted to go last year. It was my favorite organized ride last year, real Adirondack flavor to it - nothing snooty.
