good road shoe <100.00

Hi,
Very new to bike riding and have bought a couple of those Lakes shoes in the past at Bikeisland , I was wondering if there's a good place to buy road shoes Keo , or delta compatible, My LBS has quite a few for way over 100.00 but are they really that high or have they been marked up due retail +.

I would like a second set of shoe's for just Delta beings I have 2 pairs of Look Pedals I am not using.

If your LBS deals with Shimano, they have good road shoes in there catalog for $80-100 range.

The key is to find the exact model that fits your foot-need to try them on. Different models by the same manufacturer can fit differently. Don't compromise on a shoe that does not fit!!

After you know the exact size and model you can search the net for pricing and options. My last pair came off eBay and were an older model. I ride a cheap shoe just because it's the best fit for me. Shoes and saddles are probably the 2 choices that can be most personal to cyclists.

Do you have an REI nearby? They usually stock a wide range of Shimano shoes that are pretty cost effective and they have occasional sales where you can get even better deals.

+1 for trying them on. I admit my Sidis are even more comfortable, but I also have an entry level pair of Shimano road shoes that were comfortable enough to have served me well on a couple of centuries.

In 1996 (or there abouts) I bought my first bike specific road shoes on sale for about $25 - Nikis. They don't even make bike shoes anymore. Still the only pair I have ever had or have even ever tried on. They must have thousdands of miles on them. Have done countless long rides in them. I guess I was either lucky or my feet aren't pickey. I wish you as good of luck as I have had.
