Retro touch to my CX

Beautiful weather today and I went for a nice long ride in the forest. I bought this Focus Mares CX used last fall and have never warmed to the soft plastic seat that was on. Some years ago I bought some old saddles. One of them was this strange seat that I didn't quite know what to do with. It is very heavy and hard. Has some kind of suspension at the rear. Looks good though and is a much better seat for me than the one it replaced. Anyone know what it is ? I think the letters say Alpine dsa

Great looking bike.
Looks like an older Selle Royal Alpine?

Selle Royal still makes a men's and women's model of the Alpine. They're now black.
