"Going for a hike on the Appalachian Trail"

My new all-purpose excuse.

Doesn't work forever, but seems to buy 4 or 5 days of time to do other things.

See ya' later, I gotta hike to pack for...

No, No, I meant "Argentinian Girlfriend", "Going for a ride on the Argentinian Girlfriend", is what I meant.

It's only about sex. Everybody does it.

It's not as if money changed hands. And if it did, then the problem is with the laws, not the act. It's like Missy Giove. If we legalized marijuana then it wouldn't be illegal, now would it.

And it's too hot around here. We need to raise taxes on energy use.

I think that's it.

I really thought he was hiking the Appalachian Trail and wondered why everyone seemed so bent out of shape at getting along without him for a while.

Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired

They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me

Don't cry for me Argentina

His only "public" problem is that he is part of the morally superior crowd. You know those people who run for election on issues that decry the loss of traditional morals in America. If he wasn't part of that group he could still have a career, but not now.

You mean, something like declaring paying high taxes to be a patriotic duty, yet being found to have dodged a ton of taxes yourself? Or condemning health care in the private sector while getting the very finest healthcare money can buy yourself?

If moral hypocracy was a barrier to public service, the Democratic Party would vanish overnight.

Where is Gary Hart these days......................................ah yes, the roaring 80's. Puffed Rice, popped Rice, Rice chicks and that always popular (and georgeous) Donna Rice. It's good to know that politicians are still as good as they were in my youth.
