Saw this on my 40 mile ride through Minneapolis. Great way to maintain social distancing with the grandkids!

58 miles from the driveway to end of Hawthorne Trail and back. Brutal headwinds on the return slowed my pace to 16.5 mph. Saw an alligator sunning itself on the tarmac, but it scooted off before I could get the shot, to the right. Never was much of a photographer.....

Managed 40 miles after working all day....brutal headwinds the entire way back, couldn’t catch a break. Seems to be a late afternoon thing for the past several weeks.......

54 miles from driveway to Hawthorne and back. I’ve discovered that I can go car-free for this ride, much of which is bike trail.

Rained today until 3:00, so a bit of a late afternoon ride. Roads had dried, but the trail was damp, wet in spots, and empty of human beings. The sun eventually came out for the return, and folks started to appear as I got closer to town. A small breeze at my back made it a pleasant end to the riding day.

I also post with the Clydesdales, though if I keep this up I’ll literally drop out of the 200+ club, which is my goal. Never considered myself fat per se, but I’m trying to get down to 185 (high school weight), so a little bit of work to do yet......

106 miles with 5800’ of climbing to the in-laws to wish my mother in law Happy Mothers Day. I picked a nice bunch of daisies for her as I got close to her house.

A couple of unplanned detours due to a road being impassable and another turned into really chunky gravel. Swirly winds all day...tough headwinds the last 20 miles.

Lunch outside in the sun on a bench.

They thought I looked curious!

Road art.

Denton, NC

Had to ride down to see if it was passable.

Easy to get around on the right shoulder.

The first detour. Replacing a culvert and it was too deep and wide to cross.

47 miles on the gravel bike...first time riding in these gravel roads. After the gravel roads I went to the in-laws house. My MIL fed me a wonderful supper of corned beef, boiled cabbage, corn on the Cobb, green peas, chocolate doughnuts and strawberry pie with ice cream.

Started riding in Gold Hill

Here’s something you don’t see every day

Nice downhill run to the bridge

Typical gravel roads today

At the dam.

Another lake crossing

17.5 miles today - too damned cold in low-mid 50s, but glad I rode. Not a bad day by any means, but the ride made it a definitely good day.

ETA: According to Weather Underground, 60s and 70s and sunny next week! Yeah!

Let me guess, Wolber Alpine "wheels"? Mine lasted 2 weeks on my 87 SR600.

Tire clearance is limited to 25c or so, but if you can find the right wheels and tires, they ride as good as any stiff CF race bike. I love the steep angles on mine (74.25 degree head tube?).

There's the bike, low spoke count did not help

Managed to get 20 miles in after work last night. Beautiful weather, mid 60's and light winds.
I didn't hydrate like I should have, had some cramping in my right calf. I have to be more proactive about that during the day.
No pics until I get to 10 posts.
