Rode every day in August so far. What the heck. Logged 43 miles today and 406 month to date. Low hanging clouds in the mountains last four mornings.

15.5 miles, sunny, windy, hot (90 F). Stopped in a park at 10 miles, where I enjoyed a stiff, cooling breeze that I had to ride into to get home. I decided to ride home anyway.

Morning & afternoon ride to my ‘job’ (?) about 19 mi each way. Roads, trails, gravel - makes for fun on different bikes. Can go all pavement for those skinny 23mms - just not today.

58 early morning miles in hot FL weather. The riding here is very much easier than in the mountains of VA. I rode the old Domane which I had repaired after a fall last month. The rear derailleur was beaten up quite a bit and it is still not shifting smoothly on the small ring. Not rideable and I contacted the bike shop who repaired it.
I'm hoping a new cage can be found which looks like it may solve the problem. It'd be a shame to have to make a major change in the groupset, or the entire bike.......but the Shimano Di2 6770 groupsets are not available anymore.....hmmmmm.

Got in my usual city ride this morning and was surprised to get a Local Legends on Strava after. I don't even go after any records. It just popped-up after my ride. I'll take it. lol

Did 22 miles on a local rail trail this evening with a group of folks. It was out and back and I had to hammer back on my own so I could make it to work tonight on time.

I rode 43 very spirited miles this morning in the pre-FL heat. Today would have been my Dad's 90th birthday, so this ride was in his memory.

Nice rural-ish ride. 58* at the start of 22 mi.
Same ride later today will be mid70s.
Nice.
Thank you Mother Nature, et al.

Speed checker device

Glade of ferms

Macalu Cirrus Ti, Campa10 triple in silver.
edit: this is the West. Near mountains and National/State Parks and Forests there’s always some clear cut. Sometimes they have a tidy white fence. Public Relations?

67 miles in a combo of rain and sun. I must have misread the forecast, because it started raining 8 miles into the ride, which caused me to turn around and take the Hawthorne Trail. It really opened up on the way back, and I was positively drenched by the time I got home. At least it cooled things off, temporarily.

68 miles meandering around the north shore of Long Island at 16.2mph. Everytime I started to head back I took a detour and looped around. I was never more than 20 miles from home and my GPS looks like a kids doodle.
The weather was awesome with temps in the mid 70s with the exception of a constant 10mph NE head wind.

Hot today - 88*. Stayed on ‘close to home’ roads.

Late afternoon shadows

Everybody needs a good Doof occasionally

Shaded spot for a brief stop. AustroDaimler Olympian, 1981/82

Roads and meadows - my kinda town.

Easy mellow cruising this area.

The size is deceiving. I think Pinarello sizes it as a 57.5 cm. Or maybe just a 57. When I first starting riding I rode 62s. It took me a while to figure out a 58 fits me best. I have a few other bikes in 58s that are really nice rides. However, whenever I get back on the Pinarello it just rides a little better than the others. It feels a little quicker and spins up a little easier. If Campy only made an easier gear than the 29 I probably wouldn’t need my other bikes with easier climbing gears. I’ve probably put more miles on the Pinarello but I’ve never ridden it on a week long tour like the others.
The Campy 11sp Super Record is the very first generation Groupset and it’s as temperamental as it can be. I can have it shifting flawlessly one ride only to have it not fully going onto a gear the next. I just go with it. I actually think the rear chain stays might be a hair off from being true. I’ve “bent” the hanger bracket to true up the shifting a lot more times than normal. Way more than my other bikes anyway. It doesn’t seem right to not have Italian stuff on it but I’d be curious to see if Dura Ace shifted any better.

yeah, @jppe - i agree that the sizes can be deceiving (especially in pics) and in how the are measured.
It looks so much larger than a bike with an 'old school' size 58cm -- as below.

Out of garage at 12:29AM yesterday in 81F and high humidity conditions. Was planning on a 75/100 miler but back in garage after 57 miles dripping wet. Relaxed a bit after shower and then back out as the sun was approaching the horizon. Rode 9 miles to the start of our local 2020 Cruzbike 12 mile TT Challenge. Don't have a recumbent so it was on the Roubaix trying my best to hold 20mph AND THANKFULLY the winds stayed down. First 5 mile segment in 14:47 then second 5 miles in 14:37 and was able to kick it up a bit for the finale. A 20.6mph average and with the 10 miles back home got in 88 miles.

Took the Single Speed out to the resevoir. In previous years....I've seen the water level almost half way up the concrete legs flooding out the lower ground and a good portion of the park.
