It was a glorious spring day in central CT yesterday and I was happy to get out for 44 miles at a decent-for-me avg of 16mph. It was surprising cuz I was sore from jogging on the day before. I still had more in the tank when I was finished which was also surprising. Good thing I had more energy left cuz my five year old son wanted to go to the local track and "race". And kick a soccer ball. And throw a football. Good times.

I rode the Ritchey:

I was able to get a small ride in this morning. I had a longer ride in mind but my granddaughter asked to come along. So I took her to the park on the bike. We had a good time!

North-South County and the Putnam trails.

Interesting that this shown elevation was low by about 300 ft, fixed it in Strava.

I found myself home after work at about 2:00pm and my thought was get out on your bike. So I got out on my bike and rode a 20 mile ride. That is a start for this week. Today is too cold to be outside.

I was able to get a ride in today. The fog and clouds were supposed to clear which the fog cleared but the clouds never really did. I kept the mileage to 15 miles because I wanted to make a water aerobics class this evening and also set myself up to get out for a bike ride tomorrow morning by 7:45.

I was able to ride my bike this morning. I put my bike in my vehicle and left my vehicle at a grocery store parking lot 7 miles from my job. So it was a 14 mile ride today. And it was very windy on the way home. So I am glad that the ride back was only 7 miles.

I had to add miles to my week, so I got out and rode for 15 cold, windy miles this morning. The winds are suppose to pick up later today so I got out early and, made the ride functional by stopping at the bank to deposit my check.

40km loop through Tokyo today. I started in Roppongi, rode to Yoyogi Park, headed to Shinjuku and then to Yotsuya, then I rode around the Palace, through Otemachi, and on to east Nihonbashi. Then I followed the river to Tsukuda and Tsukishima, turned right and crossed into Ginza, then Shinbashi, Akasaka, and finally back home. It was the first ride this year in shorts.

Finally had a chance to try out my Heckler this morning. Still some runoffs, mud, and even deeper and longer ruts than I've ever seen thanks to our crazy storms.

I was able to ride my bike to my part-time job yesterday. That ride consists of me putting my bike in my truck and leaving my truck in a parking lot 7 miles from my destination. I tried a new route which include one newly paved bike path, and another path that isn't paved but is on the old train way. It was so nice being off the road and not worry about cars.

20 miles in sunny, warm, windy weather - 10 miles into a 15 mph headwind, per Weather Underground. Tried to adjust my B17 Imperial so it doesn't compress my pubic artery and nerve with no success. I'll probably go back to Slle SMP ... or SQLabs? Man, it's so GREAT to be back on my bike, on a road!

I was able to get out late this afternoon for a quick 12 mile ride. It was cloudy but not to chilly so it was nice to be out riding.

Another fun shred on the Heckler. Riding blind through some portions of the trail only to find deep ruts thanks to our horrendous rains.

A 1 mile ride certainly does not sound like much but It was the first time since last August. I encountered damage from radiation for cancer that required 2 surgeries to repair.

For me that 1 mile ride was magical!

My first road ride in over a month. Mainly because of our storms damages so was avoiding the areas I ride through which are dense with trees and hilly. Lots of slides and run-offs. Partly also because of this. Cyclist was hit and died last week. Quiet road, two lanes with dedicated bike lanes. Daytime. Lots of people speed through there because it's quiet. Ride In Peace. Be safe out there people.

I rode yesterday after my half day at work and got a 15 mile ride in. So today I rode the almost exact same ride but added an extra mile. Life this past week has not been cooperating and giving me enough riding time. Hopefully that will change this week.

I was able to ride my bike today. When I left the house with the bike in the back of my truck the roads were wet but there was no water in the air. By the time I got to where I leave my car there was a light mist. I rode my bike anyway, cause this looks to be about the only day we don't have rain this week. I got a nice ride in and on my way home the skies had cleared the winds picked up and it was a whole new ride.
I forgot to add this part of my ride today. Which bothered me a bit as I do not like big dogs especially if unknown to me. I was coming down a hill at a good clip and I saw this dog in my rearview mirror bolted out of his back yard to give me chase. I could hear his owner screaming for the dog to come back but the dog didn't listen to him. He kept chasing me but since I was hitting such a good speed down hill he never caught me. I do not like dogs especially in an instance like this. I have ridden this road about 4 times in the last few weeks and not heard or seen this dog. Well I know I will only ride that road downhill and not going up as going uphill I could not outrun the dog.
