36 yesterday. Nice weekend of cycling after being off the bike since Jan 2. I did get in 6 running workouts in that time, though.

Two days in a row on the trainer. I just want to die now and get it over with...

Today is supposed to be sunny and mid-50's. Yeah!

Went to the MUP for my daily 30 mile ride and got in 21 miles. I had my heart into the ride, but there just wasn't enough love today. Is this one of the signs or symptoms of the dreaded "N+1 Countdown Syndrome?" I hope not! The new bike doesn't get here until Saturday, leaving me with three more days of feeling this way.

10 miles in 45 minutes. Noticed that my quads were really tight. I think it's from working out on a leg curl machine.

Went to the eye doctor, Taco Teco, two for one taco day, Radio Shack, post office.
Thirty seven miles in under four hours with all the stops.

Beautiful day, light breeze, mid 60's. Not bad for January.

Rode the new Raleigh. I think it has about 700 miles now.

Rain tonight and all day tomorrow. High tomorrow about
44`.

Best weather we've had in two weeks: sunshine and temps touched 60. Next several days look even better. Wife and I managed 15 miles on the tandem. Averaged 17+ mph with the usual lights, stop signs; slug-slow for a tandem, but not bad for us. Feb 11, Palm Springs here we come.

The Weather Channel said 86 this afternoon. I swear it felt like 106 out in the MUP. Some pretty strong headwinds the last 8 miles made it feel like I was pushing a brick wall. Ended up doing 30 miles. Need to go to bed early tonight to recover.

0600 at the gym on the spin bike - for 45 minutes, then went to work.

Tomorrow, 50 miles on the REAL bike - I promise (myself)!

Really nice mid-60's ride this afternoon. Short 14 mile up/back on a local ranch road, 1000' of climbing. We're scheduled for such an embarrassment of good weather that I might have to avoid posting this week.

Slow ride today with my non-cyclist brother and my son at the MUP for a 16 mile ride. Now that my brother is retired, I'm hoping to get him into cycling, but I don't know that I will succeed.

20 miles on a new trail, working up some miles since all of Dec. I was "living in a recliner" and got zero miles, want to ride in a St. Paddy's Day 50K ride and the knee and 2nd. toe are still "wonky" at best, finally got the Avg. Speed into "double digits" again!

I've been spending time in Floride this winter, weather has been about perfect! I've been going on short rides with my wife every day, sometimes a longer ride alone in the afternoon. Wife can't ride very far yet, maybe 10 or 12 miles tops after her back surgery. I've got 195 miles in for the month so far, feeling good, lifting weights. I've lost 65 lbs in the past 6 months, doing weight watchers and biking. I'm 56 and out of work, just finished up college. I know I will have to get back to the "real world" soon, but I'm going to spend the rest of this winter in Florida, then go back to Connecticut and rejoin the rat race.

Yesterday - worse ride of the year. Tired, dead legs, no energy, head in a bad place. 10 miles. Today should be a lot better!

50 miles with lots of climbing yesterday. Now I'm headed to spin class to "recover" (they say "cyclists like to suffer")....

Great day for a ride. Went to the doctors first and then took a 70+ mile ride through the hills. Fun day and felt great.
