10 miles late this afternoon. Reached my 4000 miles goal for the year. Worked off some turkey, potatoes, pie, etc.
Temperature headed down Friday but will be dry through the weekend.

Dr. J and I did a cool and slightly windy 25-ish mile ride this afternoon before it got too dark. Nice country roads and a big dog that wanted to "play"
with us... or at least play with parts of us ...

It was mid 50s with no wind so I decided to take the bike for a ride rather than the old Beetle for a drive.
I did 40 miles and really enjoyed the ride and scenery.
The VW can wait for another day

Woke up at 04:00 to do the morning ride, but felt queasy(wondered if it was a bug or a very slight case of food poisoning)--so I went back to bed and didn't get up 'til 10:00, OMG!!! I slept nearly 12 hours! Got up and just ate some scrambled eggs and dry toast and the stomach felt fine. About 13:00 I decided I'd go ahead and do a ride. Ended up doing 44 miles. Around mile 18 I stopped at the LBS to have them do a slight adjustment on the rear derailleur as wasn't shifting nicely(they put a new cable on about 260 miles earlier). Tech said "cable stretch" since it was a new cable and just needed a slight adjustment. Started back on my ride and all was well with the world--smooth shifting. Got home not long before sunset. It was a good 44 miles.

Sixty-six miles to Neptune's Net and back.
Heavy fog (or low clouds). Visibility was bad because my eyeglasses get all wet/fogged up. (Time to finally schedule that Lasik eye surgery).
Other than the fog and lack of visibility, it was a great day for riding!

Tried another neighborhood ride yesterday. Got up to three miles and then the knee started giving some discomfort. Decided to turn around and go back to the house and not chance messing the knee up. I may try again later this afternoon or tomorrow on the road bike as it's almost 10 pounds lighter than the hybrid.

35 very windy(24mph gusts) and chilly miles this am. I would've done 40 or so, but I got up an hour late, 05:00.

30 miles gravelgrinding, and I tried my new to me DSLR. Heavier than my hybrid but so much better to work with. I am no big fan of november,(wet, dark and cold) but it can be quite beautiful.

23 miles, just enjoying a really nice Nov. day, 60F+, bit of a heavy breeze. Too bad I had other things I NEEDED to get done today, I would have like to have ridden further!

28 miles, 44 temp., 20-25 m.p.h wind. Great Ride, Can't wait for Sunday!!!!!!!!!
You gonna eat that?

Yesterday I rode 22 miles to do my Black Friday shopping. The first part of the ride was into 25-30 mph headwinds, but that made the rest of the ride just grand. And I somehow got this big ol' box home.

Today I did my club's breakfast ride. Including bonus miles I ended up with 44 miles. The weather was gorgeous (if a teeny bit cool).

Another ride with Dr. J today - 35 somewhat suprisingly chilly miles. Not too bad, but I'm glad it was no cooler, given my lack of winter kit. Beautiful blue sky, sunshine day. Ticked over 1000 miles for the year today, a first for me.

Don't mince words
c_gallagh and I broke out the tandem this afternoon, after the temps got over 50*, and did this as a casual ride. Sure was fun, and seeing the trees peaking was great! Color that fun!

It was indeed a beautiful day here (south bay) - did 32 miles of portola valley, survived the road work, heard that must maybe they'll be done by end of December (not putting any money on that). Somehow the hills where just easier today than recently. Plus everyone out was in great spirits.

35 miles in a balmy 28ºF(-2.2ºC).
OT: Kind of amusing that this is page 404.
For those non-geeky types or who don't get the joke, on the web, Error 404 is what you encounter when you get a "Page not found."

Another 40 miles of gravel along the Des Plaines River on Sunday morning. A large group of 20+ broke up into smaller groups soon after the start. I chatted with a nice group during a stop for a flat (not mine).
