Fairly comfortable weather on this afternoon's ride. 55°F and overcast. South wind 16 gusts 24 MPH. I put in a good 21 mile training ride on a section of urban bike path that I have not been able to use for about a year due to construction. It's nice to be able to mix up the routes and the scenery.
Muscles are definitely in winter mode which is about 3 mph off the summer pace.

40 miles yesterday, low 50's, nice ride. Today a 32 mile easy ride except for the last 6 miles uphill into a stiff headwind, mid 40's.

A little snow last night and a plow just went by my house. However the sun is shining now and tomorrow looks good for a ride.

The ocean air from the Penobscot Bay was bitter today. Windy, cold, 13degF, wind chill below 0, but nice and sunny. I rode a couple hours and I was comfortable. Roads are still nice and dry and no new snow. If only the wind would stop blowing it would be beautiful.

85 miles. Temps 25-44 degrees, sunny skies, little wind. Extra layers but great day to ride.

Fighting a cold. Got out for my first 2x20 intervals of the season. Got some work to do. Did these on a 7% grade for the most part. Closed road, my own private training facility in the National Park. Kept the ride as short as possible.

Another gorgeous Florida day for a bike ride. Went for a 30 mile ride at the MUP this morning and ran into some friends about two miles shy of the halfway point of my second lap. Joined them for a ride back to the parking lot for 26 miles. I decided to ride the service road for 4 miles to make my 30. At the end of the ride, I met my cycling buddy, Frank, and rode another lap with him for a total of 45.5 miles. I almost didn't want to quit riding but I wasn't planning on doing 45 miles and didn't have anything to eat for lunch and I didn't want to bonk.

Today the temp climbed up to a tropical 45F, but it was cold enough that when it started raining with me 4 miles from home, it was coming down as pellets of ice.
About a mile from my house, some yahoo in a minivan pulls up, rolls down the window, and yells, "Hey buddy, get a real bike!".
The yahoo was my physical therapist. It was actually pretty funny once I knew who was doing the yelling.
I rode to the construction area of the Loop, hoping to poach some trail, but they had the heavy machinery blocking the access.

At the rate it's going up, it might be ready this summer. I'm happy to pay taxes for this good stuff.
Anyway, around 19miles with an average speed so high I can't go public with it.

24 miles with the wife on the trekking hybrids, just out to enjoy partail sunshine and temps in the 50F's! Had a good lunch at the little market and deli, easy ride home, nice day!

This is a loop including a nice little hill near my house. In fact, the hill is so close you don't get a proper warm-up unless you approach it somewhat circuitously. Weather was pretty decent, low 40's at the start, probably close to 50 at 10:30 when I finished. Days are getting longer
and temperatures are rising
I have the over 65 KOM and the over 200 lb. KOM. Of course, I'm the only 200 lb. over 65 y/o on Strava to have done the two segments
It's going to be a great hill for intervals, about 25 minutes worth of actual climbing.
I find myself on long climbs rationing the effort; you can certainly get a workout, but it's not as efficient as intervals.

Another 20 miles this afternoon. The weatherman promised rain and overcast all day. Given the perversity of Kansas weather, the sun of course came out this afternoon.
Still pretty windy though with gusts above 30mph.

Was out yesterday not sure of the distance as it was advertised as 26 miles but then doubt was cast on that so between 15 and 30 if cycling to the venue and back counts.
It was a road ride so most of the others had fancy road bikes while I was on my ole off roader, so they disappeared into the distance while myself and a few others were stuck behind a wagon for a few miles.
Normally on Sky Rides they always ask us to bunch up so cars cant get in between us but since this was a Social Group it is organised differently so its keep up or fall behind.
But they have leaders who always come back and mop up stragglers which was just as well as even I managed to leave two behind some distance and had to tell them so one could go back and find them.
Had to work very hard to keep up which I managed fairly well on the way back, tho my thoughts of a stop in Lymm where soon quashed as the ride kept going and I was in a small group at the back.
But a nice stop at Willowpool Garden Centre made up for that as did the scenic route back through country lanes and some nice hills to whiz down tho I had to take care as there are still some icy patches left over from the recent cold snap we had.
A good ride and some serious excercise, not plodding around trails which I normally do

I didn't ride for a couple of days due to dampness and anniversary events (I'm a wimp rider, don't like the wet or a mad wife). Did 7.4 miles today and it felt like ten due to the wind. First time wind bothered me while riding across it.

30 miles today. Usual weather swing in central Ohio. Last week, 4 inches of snow and pretty cold. Today 60 degrees and partly sunny with some 20+ mph winds. Just a little moist on some roads.
And nobody buzzed me on the ride!

Did a metric century, 62.5 miles actually, this afternoon. I can tell I need to fit long rides in at least once a week if I want to be prepared for the 100 milers in April and May.

I was able to get in a 15 mile ride today, although I was hoping for a 30 miler. I got a late start on the ride because I went over the BS time limit I set for lunch with my brother. Nice 84* temps and partly cloudy skies made for a great ride.
