Met this guy on my ride yesterday, he was training for a century ride in Kentucky I think he said.
And came across these marines doing their training run on the mup I was riding on.

21 trail miles yesterday and apparently I've offended the tire gods as I had my 4th flat of the year. All thorn punctures. I can't complain about the tires as they both have around 3000 miles on them but there have been a lot of thorns on the trail this year. Two contributing factors have been a few wind storms and the "trimmer" going through and leaving branches etc. all over the trail.

Put in 45 miles this AM. Need to ride tomorrow too as Monday and Tuesday look to be a washout--probably put in some time on the trainer.

A nice day for a 37 mile bike ride, although it looked as if it was going to be rained out today. This was followed by a super invitation to a BBQ from my best friend. I'm thinking the typical hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken and he has thick rib eye steaks, perfectly grilled, lobster tail, baked potato and corn on the cob. Totally wiped out the calories burned this morning, but it was so well worth it.

18 Screamer miles this morning with stoker (who had to work this afternoon).
Then, 24 miles alone again, naturally, this afternoon.

I stitched together some routes in Northern VA and central MD that I do over the winter time into a 102 mile ride. The scenery looks a lot different when there are leaves on the trees, crops in the fields, and bugs in the air... Crossed the Potomac twice, once at Brunswick and once on the ferry at Whites Ferry.
102 miles, 7.9K of climbing. All of that was rollers except for the short climb up Sugarloaf in MD. Still having foot and butt issues. What else is new

35 miles this AM. Struggled to get up and out of bed--was even contemplating going back to bed. I chastised myself and got out and did a windy 35 miles.

Did a new route this morning with the Tampa Bay Sunday Bike Riders group. I actually like the route as you can get some decent speed while doing most of its 27 miles. Great weather and a great group of riders made for a great Father's Day morning ride.

Did a morning 36 miler with one climb. Great morning for riding a bike. The climb includes a 2 mile stretch that never gets under 10%, but if you like solitude and views these roads can't be beat.

In San Diego for a week for vacation, and got in my first vacation/fathers day ride today 41 miles on the "great western loop". It was also my first time loading a course on my garmin 500 and following it. It worked out nicely. I was wearing my 50+ jacket the first part of the ride, and passed a line of female runners out for a training run. Everyone of them smiled, waved and said "good morning". I wonder if it was me or the jacket.

It was 'supposed' to rain this morning so I passed on an 8am club ride 25 miles away and slept in. Not sure if it rained there or not. Hasn't rained here since early AM.
Got out for a 13 mile ride this afternoon with a few rolling hills - only used the small ring once.
Today's ride in combination with yesterday's two rides was about right for the weekend. Hope to bike commute a couple of times this week.

29 rural miles this AM. 71° with only a mild breeze. Nicely overcast so it was very comfortable. Hit my goal for the first six months of the year today. Will pad the cushion for the next few weeks and then take off on the goal for the second half of the year.

Waited out a thunderstorm and then had a great ride late afternoon, early evening, today. It capped my best week's mileage total to date and was the 46th straight day. Temps were mild after the storm blew through, it was really humid with the moisture evaporating off the pavement, nothing we can't handle in the Southeast though.
I hope everyone had a great week and that the Fathers here were happy and with family for the day.

JimF - I'm always in awe when I read your ride reports. I rode 55 miles today, 4.5K of climbing with temperatures reaching 89 by the end of the ride. It was a tough ride for me, mostly because I didn't drink enough water. The route looked in some ways similar to the photos that rdtompki posted from California. There's limited potable water available along the route we did today.

42 trail miles today. Finally some summer weather - in the 80s. Refitting seems to have done wonders. Before my quads were getting hammered. Now nice all around tiredness - mainly from moving cleats back about 1 cm.

After not riding for 2 days due to monsoon like rain storms - 20 Kilometers on my hybrid commuter. Started on a wet MUP and finished on the road with a couple of younger guys heading out on CF road bikes - hung with them for 3 or 4 K with a slight tail wind. They even offered to to cruise by my house, so I could get my road bike and join them for a longer ride; but had a Father's Day BBQ to attend.
