10 miles indoors today. Too humid to start with, then the heat got too high as the humidity lessened. Wont last too long.

44 very hot and very windy miles today. Much windier than yesterday so the forestry service didn't do any burning today. That was good!

Put on my Bike Commuter hat (helmet) today: 20 hot/humid miles. Strangely enough, even though it was 90+ and sunny when I rode home, and I rode hard, I felt pretty good afterwards, as opposed to overheated/exhausted. Maybe the Polar bottle helped - was able to sip cold water all the way home.

Not as windy as yesterday but it could have been worse. Nice overcast throughout the morning with cool (for a change) temps and not much humidity for a very nice 35 mile ride. Hope it's the same for tomorrow's ride.

Couple of days ago, 72 miles. 115 f in mid afternoon. Got home at 10:00 pm. It was still 80 f. New temp record for me. Too hot to really ride hard for very long. So humid that my brake levers felt wet all the time.

Hot and muggy this morning and I was a bit tired when I started the ride. Got in another 35 miles which was almost identical to yesterday's ride stats. Good thing there wasn't much wind today. Tomorrow, I'm doing a short club ride, which I have been missing out on for the last three months.

15 miles along the lake. The only thing better than cycling is waterskiing when the lake is as calm as it was this morning!

Went to Harlech intending to ride to Barmouth and then Bennar Beach about 20 miles in total.
But it was 28 C and pretty humid so we wimped out and just rode to the beach instead prob rode about 5/6 miles in total.
Beach was worth it tho, nice surface to walk on tho it was hard to ride on in places, very deep sand which I tried to ride in a relaxed and light way but still dug in.
Funnily enough the area of firm sand we rode on coming onto the beach was very soft coming back which we couldnt fathom out.
Thought if the sun was very hot it would be firmer but no we dug in seriously and had to walk most of the beach till we could ride again.
And as the tide was only just coming in, it wasnt very deep so could sit in the water tho swimming was tricky lol.
On the way back I pepped up the pace as we had to rush back and had a 2 and half hour drive home.
Had not been feeling good on the way but after the beach had renewed energy to ride strongly tho my mate struggled to keep up. There was one hill which I took one look at and stopped and walked up which in hindsight we could have ridden up if had just kept going but they werent very steep or long.
Well deserved cold drinks and ice cream after, then trying to keep the driver awake on the way back lol.
Had a break at a bison farm and restaurant on the way back

Not to eat tho lol

40 miles on the trails in 92F with winds at 18 mph (lots more than that in gusts I think). My voice was hoarse after that! Was fun tho.

18 miles yesterday in 95 degree heat. Everyone thought I was nuts. They were inside under air conditioning and still complaining about the heat! Wimps. Even though it was 95 degrees and humid, it didn't bother me all that much. This is my first ride after being OK'd to ride after surgery. Boy, it felt good to get back on the bike!

I haven't done a Saturday club ride in a few months so I decided to take a chance this morning, even though we had a high probability of rain. Got in a very nice, moderately paced, 19 mile ride with overcast skies that kept the temps down. And, it never did rain.

Rode our Saturday Old-Timer 41 miler with my added 5 miles to the start of the ride and 12 miles back home. Everyone in today's group was 50+ up to 73. We had 3 segments. First starting out for 21 miles with a 20.1mph moving average. Second was 13.26 miles with a 23.5 mph moving average. Third was the heading back to start cool down for 7.61 miles at 20.6mph moving average. Tomorrow should be a fun 60 miler with the younger crowd. Everybody will be in the 50's to 30's with some rolling hills in San Antonio, FL.

12 mile ride today all in though most at a slow pace as I was with my partner who uses a stick so he walked while I rode.
From Sale to Altrincham on my own then met my fella off the tram (actually beat him there by about 5 mins
Then went to see a new bike shop called Starley Factory Showroom selling Tracs type bikes for use in Velodromes and Track Racing but it was closed.
So rode to John Leigh Park and did some slopes and drop offs there while my partner searched for cones on the pine trees there.
Bowdon was next on the list to a church there which has a very productive Austrian Pine Tree in the cemetery, dropping very big cones.
Then headed off to Devisdale Field which is a mini Nature Reserve and is protected and a favourite spot for dog walkers.
Not permitted to ride a bike there but rode slowly and with care so am sure it would have been ok, no one complained anyway
Then headed back to Altrincham for refereshments then decided to head to Hale where we havent been to for 3/4 years, was nice to go back and enjoy a mega tasty Cornish Pasty full of meat and vegetables and also very hot
Visited the library and then rode back to Altrincham via Stamford Park and then home.
My partner decided to walk home instead of getting the tram so did the 3/5 miles back with me taking plenty of breaks.
Interesting day anyway
Pics show Denzell Gardens which must be one of the most beautiful places to have an office anywhere
