Forgot to post yesterday. I managed to get in one lap at the MUP for 22 miles. Spent about half hour tweaking my left cleat that has been causing me issues with the left knee. I think I finally got it as I did a 44 mile ride today and no knee issues. Hope to do another moderate ride tomorrow and see what happens.

Unseasonably warm day today, supposed to have some severe weather Sunday with the next cold front coming through. Rode the normal 15 miles this afternoon, saw two new born calves nosing around the pasture.

Another 100 miler today. This one went MUCH better. Amazing how much difference riding wheels and 50-60 degree weather can make. I went from my longest time ever last week to almost an hour faster this week.

48 miler, 40 deg at the start, 65 deg at the finish. First half included a nice 1900' climb; second half I puttered around a loop with a really nice tandem couple from a local club.

Amazing weather here in New Jersey for the first day of winter- something like 65 F. Did a group ride in the morning and laps around town in the afternoon.

Temps hit 75°F here this afternoon, very windy from the south, the rains have started, also. I got in a 17 mile ride late this afternoon, some sprinkles were getting their time in. Had to try out the new shorts I picked up at the LBS this morning though.

Nice (WARM!) 72-mile ride from Warrenton, to Culpeper, to Brandy Station, Remington, Elk Run, Catlett and back.

My legs were just burning up, and I had bad muscle cramps. Ugh. Worth it though.

Didn't get a chance to ride yesterday, so my riding buddy and I scheduled a 66 mile ride for this morning. Unfortunately, he hit my rear wheel trying to fall behind me and had a nice fall. We ended up doing 50 miles because he landed on the shoulder that he recently had surgery on and it started to bother him. Tomorrow is another day and another ride.

30 miles this AM--very windy miles with 30mph gusts at few times(had to really hold on and control the bike--even heard the wind whistling through the air vents on the helmet). Will have to use the trainer for a couple of days at minimum.

Six miles this morning for my first ride in more than a couple of weeks! (The weather has been sucky)
Felt very nice. Wife and I have both been visiting the YMCA gym regularly since the weather went south.

I was in the middle of doing the Hains Point 100, which involves doing a 3.1 mile loop at East Potomac Park, in the island that divides the Potomac from the Anacostia rivers. It's a benefit for the local Women in Bicycles program.

They promised 70+ weather, but they delivered rain instead. It was low-50s, and not really unpleasant, so I won't complain too much about that, for being three days before Christmas.

Unfortunately I broke a spoke on my carbon Zipp 202 wheel at about mile 62. I have taken these wheels over some horrendously tough terrain, but today I was truly "just riding along" on a perfectly fine, flat surface. I guess even my wheels had had enough of making never-ending right turns for the day....
