Looked at the Weather Channel site and MyFoxTampaBay.com and it's looking really good for the next 10 days.

This morning, it was a nice 67º with an overcast sky and minimal winds. When I got to the halfway point of my first lap, I met some park regulars at the northwest parking lot and they were talking about an extension through some housing developments that had some small, but nice rollers and an overpass over the interstate. I had heard about this route from several other people but didn't know where it was. They asked if I wanted to join them so off we went. Very nice little extension to an already good ride. I have it mapped in my phone so I'll be doing this extension more often. Total of 46 miles for today.

I did 63 miles today and the wind was lighter. It made a big difference with getting my handlebar height right. I never realized that I could be comfortable on my bike.

25 miles this afternoon, no north wind today for a change. Mostly sunny and mild temps were great.

Now that's smokin in the Smoky Mtns.

33.5 with the guys plus an extra 25.5

No more rides this week since I'll be helping out at a local, Relay For Life-Relay For Life of Venice, starting Thursday. Planning on getting in 2 miles every hour of the event if my body holds up.

30 miles in the late afternoon - sunny and in the high 50s, with a significant wind. steady effort on the local trails for 23 miles and then, when almost home, decided to add a little slow loop down and up the river for an additional 7. So it was kind of a hybrid ride- I enjoyed the 23 miles of working hard (mostly in the drops, when working against the wind) but then I was ready to be done working hard, but not ready to be done riding, so a short smell-the-roses loop was a great way to end a really enjoyable ride.

now, if only there really had been roses.....We've got a few crocuses and tulip shoots, but roses are a ways off.

Everything is finally blooming here, the azaleas are approaching their finish but everything else is beautiful. The dogwoods have been especially nice, we almost lost all of these due to a blight a few years back. My wife's roses are looking so nice right now, the pink and the deep red have really nice blossoms on them and more buds ready to burst.

25 miles this morning. Beautiful morning down here. 17.5 avg. with lots of stops and starts due to traffic signals. I seem to be at an average speed plateau. Guess it's time for some intervals.

A very nice, hot and humid 35 mile ride today. It's already feeling like summer in Central Florida.

Did not ride today... Rode yesterday, 2.5 hours, 1 lap of a hilly circuit, several 1km+ hills some 39-26. weather was 45F, drizzling and a 30-35kph headwind... Ride finishes with 4km of step climbs (39-26/24 )... Same loop I did on Monday... Today is a rest day and tomorrow also, may go out and do a 1hr recovery ride if time after class allows... Saturday will be again 1-1/2 to 2-1/4 hours, Sunday will be a 4hr+ depending on weather conditions..

32 miles average 17.8 on Tuesday on rolling hills west of Gainesville
40 miles average 20.1 on Wednesday, pulled last 10 miles with a fast rider
41 miles average 19.2 on Thursday, again following a fast rider on Hawthorne trail

All in all a great three day hard effort.....Tomorrow planning a nive recovery ride. Weather in the low 80's here in North Central FL. Summer is not that far off.....

I actually rode twice today. Did my "Le Tour De Bullhead" this morning, then did my gym commute this afternoon, with a stop off at the library (I have this weird "need" to play Happy Wheels on their computers for some reason).
