Did a nice moderately paced, 35 mile ride today to save the legs for the weekend rides. After two, back-to-back, 44 mile, high intensity ride days, the legs were still a little sore last night when I went to bed.

18.6 miles with no sun which is fine with me. Tomorrow will be my fourth week of riding six days a week. It's been a great stress and fitness outlet.

Beautiful 53 mile ride, my first half century done in one ride (I did some 50's in a day when I was younger, but it was cumulative over a couple of rides throughout the day). Felt great, could have went farther, was very happy. Probably not far for some of you on here but for me it was a goodly distance.

Happy birthday to gevad.

An early start before the heat got turned up for a very nice 44 mile ride this morning. Not sure what events are coming up, but I've never seen so many runners at the MUP as I have this morning. And this did not include the two high school track teams that were out there. Good thing was the high school teams ran on the lower service road so they weren't on the main path. Hoping tomorrow won't be so crowded.

29 miles early this morning under heavy clouds, cool-ish temps (relatively for June in Louisiana) and a slight SE breeze. All in all a good ride. Now I just need to do this more than twice monthly.

22 miles out of New Glarus . It was hot, humid and breezy. I met up with another rider at the base of one of my 2 favorite hills to ride up in Green cty. It was a bit humorous, just I started to say how much I liked this hill, he started to say how much he hated it. It's not really bad, about a mile long and pretty gentle for most of it, not getting over a 10% grade. As he started up the hill he looked at my gearing (triple with a 13-32 on the back) and said "that's what I need!" It was nice riding with someone even if only briefly. My usual partner has been
putting in tons of overtime and when he gets the time to ride he usually rides the tandem with his wife.

The top pic is from whence I came and the bottom the direction in which I was headed.

I would have faded at the 32 foot mark. Well, maybe the 32 yard mark. It would have been intentional.

We did 49.55 miles on the tandem today. Wanted to hit 50 but it fell a little short. It was great anyway!

102.5 mile organized ride in NC mountains. 8800' of climbing in 6 hrs 20 mins. It doesn't matter how I try to do this ride I always have the same time. I soft pedaled a lot today trying to keep the cramps at bay due to the NC humidity. Only cramped at the top of the last climb so I guess it helped....and my time was the same as past years.

Post ride supper included a 32 oz margarita and two brown ales....

It was such a beautiful day yesterday (mid 80's)I decided to go for two bike rides.
Did a speedy ride in the am on the Allez (14.8mi @ 18mph)
And an afternoon ride on the Hybrid (8.6mi @ 12-15mph)

They finally opened up the bike path under new bridge construction (an additional 2mi) but the road was so bad I turned around.
15.3mi @ 12-15mph (pushed it to 18.5mph for a short stretch) on the Hybrid. Not bad for an old fat guy. Another beautiful day.

A day without riding is like a day without...

A good 35 mile Sunday morning solo ride. It was strange to do a Sunday ride without one of my riding buddies.

Two rides today, 22 miles with my wife in the morning, and then rode the same route again in the afternoon with a friend (minus the stops to take photos, rest, etc). Both rides were great!

No ride yesterday. Woke up and I was still feeling tired so rather than do my normal 44 mile ride, I did a 22 mile ride with my wife. Another PB for her in both ride time and average speed.

22 Commuting miles today. Stormed overnight but no rain today. My fastest average of any ride this year - 17 mph on the way in to work. (Couldn't have been helped much by a 10mph tailwind?)
