49.5 on the tandem, avg spd 13.3, max spd 30.0. Not a bad day but I was hoping we'd hit 50.

End of the ride farmstand stop for blueberries

71 miles with 5400' of climbing to Asheville NC. My wife dumped me out of the car under threatening skies and off I went. Rode through some of the hardest rain I've ever been in.

53 miles in group (except when got separated for few miles and went past same streets a few times before finding my bearings). Averaged 18.4. No hills so no climbing except on and off bike!

billy k let us know how your recovery is going. Only on stationary bike after my TKR. Now 9 years later and 18,000 in past six years on real bike. Wishing you well.

Thanks for the well wishes I started on the Hybrid and it is going good.I get swollen a lot but I guess that is to be expected for the first year. Tearing my Quad one month after TKR put me behind in recovery. It was March 20th that I had my last operation so to be biking now is great I am happy to have found this site

23 miles this morning on the long wheelbase 'bent, which has been feeling neglected lately, as this season I've mostly ridden the Screamer - with my Favorite Stoker - or the short wheelbase 'bent riding to work (and back).
Spotted a dead skunk in the middle of the road, but he didn't pass the LW III test, as it hardly smelled at all.

A very nice 24 mile family ride yesterday with the wife, daughter and son-in-law. One of my riding buddies also rode with us.

Overslept this morning then it started to rain. No ride for today.

Did another 41.3 miles on the tandem today, started early (for us) and went straight through downtown Waltham Main St to the more wooded 'burbs. It was a nice day. Had a near collision with a gent starting up in front of us whose steere tube decided not to track in the same direction as his handlebar and stem. Fortunately no one was hurt, but he should either learn to do his own bike work or take it back to the shop and complain loudly.

Did 52 mi. with 3700 ft. of climbing this morning to finish the week with 202 mi. and 11,000 feet of climbing. My fitness seems to be improving but only averaged 15.5mph for the week. Looking for another 2 mph. where did it go? 72 isn't old.

51 miles today on the paths. First day this year UI felt I could do this. I changed the schedule of the meds I am on now so I take the beta blocker and blood pressure at dinner. I was taking them in the morning and my legs just felt dead and tired. Felt really good today.

20 miles this afternoon. I have much faster rides early before I drive for work. I'm a sales rep and four hour in the car hurts my mph. Note to self, ride early !!
