Not wanting to back myself into a corner with another crash, I'll be content to visit here and watch some TV after I check on some things for the CAAD. Everyone stay warm and safe.

Another very windy 35 mile ride this afternoon. Tried to get out in the morning when the winds weren't as strong but had to wait for my grandson to drop some stuff off that he's been meaning to do for a week now.

I rode 23 miles in freezing temps with a dozen or so of my friends.

By the time I got home it was 23 and my water bottle was frozen.

♫ Back in the saddle again ♫
Just as the bones were healing the flu (or what I call a Fate-Worse-Than-Death) hit. Out of it for a week.
First ride in 8 weeks yesterday, again today. Sure felt good to stretch the legs even if it was a short distance. A little wobbly the first mile and still hyper-conscious after the crash—but riding.
The trike should be here tomorrow to next Monday. Can't wait.

Rode to work today. 50 Deg.F @ 5:10 AM, not too much motor traffic, kind of crowded on the train, no issue from the train station to the job! Should be low 70's for the ride home.

Finally able to do a mini "Le Tour de Bullhead". The first time in almost two weeks it hasn't been blowing, raining or snowing . . . .

34 miles, in 30-degree temps, with 30MPH winds.

What's not to like? Fortunately for the worse headwind section I was relatively sheltered riding through Goshen Pass, and I had a killer downhill/tailwind combination for the last ten miles.

100 miles with 4200' of climbing. I rode over and back from the house and joined an organized Polar Bear Ride. The organized ride was a 100k and the start was 20 miles from the house. It was 23 degrees when I left the house an 38 degrees when I got home.

No ride for the last two days due to it being cold (for Florida) with really high winds (20+). Almost back to normal weather this afternoon which was just what I needed for a really good 45 mile ride. Tomorrow should be back to normal weather and should stay that way the rest of the week.

Finally had some relief from the shoulder pain, managed to do 15.55 miles this afternoon. Bright sunny day, after the entire week being cloudy and gray, not uncomfortable, 53°F while I was out.

11 miles in freezing drizzle. The first "nice" day we've had so far this year.

Managed to get in a nice 40 mile ride this morning with two of my riding buddies. Shooting for 50 but had to bow out after the left knee started giving me problems. I'd much rather give up the 10 miles today than lose several days of riding.

First sunny day in weeks even tho the temp is low (43°). First ride on the Vortritek (German) 3 wheeler, 11 mi. It'll take some getting used to but I like it. Lots of chain rattle. Recumbents require the buddy system, not so much for riding as for trying to get up and out of the seat. Ooof.
Still not 100% since the crash 8 weeks ago but getting there.

I know everything. I was a teenager once.

Easy ride as the snow began to melt. Will probably spend more time cleaning the Merckx than I spent on the road. Nice ride and a lot of memories of years gone by training in this type of weather when racing.

Takes awhile to get strong knees for the up and down stuff.

Glad that you are back to riding, Fred, one year ago we were all scared and shocked when your crash was announced to us here.

Today was suppose to be my no ride day for the week. Then a friend called and wanted to know if I was going riding. Didn't take much persuasion on his part for me to get my gear and meet him for a really nice 41 mile ride. Got done just as it started to rain.
