I really like that picture. Thanks.

What's a bionx kit?

I did a 2 hour mtb ride today with 2 mountain goats. A little rain, but a great time was had by all.

February 6, yes, cloudy and very windy today.
Temp in the low 60s when I left and high 50s when I got back today, wind out of the W @ 22 to 30 mph so I got out for a good 30+ miles this afternoon . Got home about 5:15 pm. That wind was a killer, other wise it was a beautiful day. Stopped at one of the shoppimg centers that I pass, they were having a car show in the plaza. I'm guessing there were a few million dollars worth of cars in the show. Sure wish I had taken my camera.

34.27 (s)miles today
148.54 (s)miles this month
734.40 (s)miles this year
5 ride day(s) this month (Feb.) vs 1 ride day (Feb.)LY
6765 miles needed to hit 2010 goal
272 miles ahead of this date last year

Today was a beautiful sunny day in Vancouver so 60K with the Triathlon Club. We have been lucky this winter, no snow so far in Vancouver, which is heck for the Olympic organizers. Whistler has snow, but Cypress which is closer to Vancouver did not. They have been trucking it in from other areas.

Did a few miles this morning

I had to get my van over to the car wash this morning around 8:30 am for a full detail job. Tossed my 7200 in the back and rode it back to the house about 4 miles. The weather was so nice temp around the high 50,s very little wind and partly cloudy. Almost ideal weather for riding so I decided to do another 5 miles around my area.

Planned on doing another 6 or 7 miles later on this afternoon but the weather turned bad. More rain here this afternoon and tonight. No riding. It might possibly clear up tomorrow. If so out for some more fun.

At least I got the van back and safely in the garage before the rains hit.

I did not ride this morning due to the chilly weather (52F) for South Florida, and because of the crazy traffic (more than per usual) due to the Super Bowl...

Please keep us all in your prayers today - many visitors and media (and security) here for this event, that God will keep us safe today and this evening...

35.3 miles today with temps in the mid 20's to 28*. There were flurries when I left and beautiful sun hiding behind some clouds when I came back. If the weather stays this way mostly with no ice and snow, I'll be riding more.

39 miles today with a small group (where was everyone??) and, it felt good to be riding again. We have had such shoddy weather the past couple weeks that its been all but impossible to ride. But did I mention it felt good to be riding. I'd almost rather ride in sub zero blizzard conditions than on my trainer.

55 miles from home in Chicago to Lake Forest & back. Rode with a 30 year old redhead (yes, a female redhead) which is A-OK with me!

Did I mention that she was 30 and a redhead?

Like NealH I have not been able to get out in a couple weeks mostly due to the weather. Finally got in about 70 miles today-it was slow but nice.

Pics or it didn't happen! Was she really a redhead?

Me,
I spun 1.5 hours on the rollers watching a DVR'd ZZ Top concert. Plan was to ride for 1 hr but those old guys got me a-rockin.

35 miles riding with my good friend who is home on a two week leave from his tour in Afghanistan where he runs a base hospital. It was a gray, cold and overcast day, but it was great to get to ride with him.

The young lady on the right is the redhead. I'm behind her. My overwhelming charm makes up for my lack of fashion sense.

We were 30 miles into the ride, When I offered to stop for coffee. The rest of the group continued and we rode off into the February sun.

Great ride. Sunny and near 50 degrees. So, after a 40 mile club ride, I put in an additional 12 miles by going into town and doing some errands...

Yes. After the celebrated snowstorm, our street is unplowed, so the only way I could make my grocery run today was by bike. Once out of our neighborhood, the roads are easily passable with studs so it was an easy 2 mile trip. The result included the ingredients for cherry pie, so this little jaunt qualifies as a Pie Ride. A la mode, no less. Good way to end the day.

Yesterday I did a short mile run to the local IMAX theater to take advantage of the Super Bowl and see the Avatar matinee. The route is all hills so I got my exercise, but I arrived earlier than I anticipated, so I went riding around as well to kill some time.

The movie was amazing. And I couldn't pull myself far enough back to look at it analytically except to briefly note that they shot it all behind the frame. And I heard no one talking, cell phones or kids getting restless.

And I was almost 3/4 of the way home before the old verbal train of thought started interrupting my reverie. It was getting cold, with all that hill climbing and 3 layers of clothes on, I never got close to taking any of them off.

58 degrees with puffy low clouds with large open spots, sun played peek-a-boo. Slight wind and the Mighty Los Angeles river even had water in it. Maybe 6 inches to a foot. Saw some starving pelicans and one dead one. The fish that they eat have gone deeper down so the pelicans are having a hard time finding food. The have come away from the coast with the rats of the sky and just sit there waiting. Some are being saved and fed but they can't help all of them. Did 30 miles on the Schwinn 84 Le Tour that i picked up off CL last month. Its a little small for me, saddle is about an inch to short so maybe i can get a longer stem.

It was in the mid 50's and sunny when I got off work today, so I rushed home and got on my bike. I was able to get in a nice 20 mile ride before the sun started dropping and the temperature along with it.

Sunny and in the forties, light breeze. Twenty-three miles with one of my sons-in-law. Very pleasant.

Took a day off from work and had a great 40 mile ride on forest roads. The weatherman said last night that we should have clouds and some sun, some snow as well, but the clouds only held enough for a "drizzle". So not true. Part of my ride today was on unploughed roads with 3 inches of new snow. Really difficult to see how the conditions are under the snow but very pretty.

Nice ride ride tonight but too short

Had a nice ride tonight. Beautiful conditions again here in AZ for riding. Temp 57, clear sky, no wind. Only did 5 miles but realize I'm slowly getting more in shape. A month ago, it killed me to do 2 miles and now 5 miles seems easy.

Progressing a little more each ride and enjoying it more and more. Been checking the mileage to most of the local stores where I go during the week to grab this or that. The farthest is 6 miles round trip. Going to use the Trek 7200 for those now that I'm getting back into the swing of riding again.

High chance of rain here on Wed and possibly Thur too so don't think I'll get in any miles till Friday. Going to get up early Saturday and go for 10 plus miles or longer.
