Just the usual morning commute (17.5 miles). But for the first time in a long while, it was sunny.

Very hot and humid this morning. Good 40 mile ride with my buddies Steve and Frankie. Started riding after a fairly heavy rain had fallen We were expecting more rain but none came and the sun came out for a second day in a row. Nice! 🚴☀️

A bit over 30 yesterday on the road bike.
A bit under 20 today on the hybrid.

Exploring some new country roads. I don't get lost, but sometimes it takes longer to get back than I thought

Had an 2300ft, 75 mile week. Today was a 25mi ride with a 700ft grade and a tough 15mph headwind coming back. Wow, that last 6 miles put me on the small chainring (39t).

Weather forecast indicates the wet bike will be in use the next 5 days or so, so be it. 25mi today but only about 5 miles was in the showers.

40 mi. to Williston and back on an unseasonably cool, dry day here in FL. Planning another 50 for tomorrow with the GCC.

19 miles as a bike commuter today. 4 out of 5 this week. (Traffic sucked the one day I drove but listening to old Jimmy Reed blues made it tolerable.)

10 miles Friday evening after washing the bike and relubing the chain. Because a clean bike needs to get dirty again. Wasn't intending to ride fast but the new-to-me road bike doesn't understand slow.

I did 22.5 miles this morning. Still recovering from a torn calf muscle and my fitness has suffered a bit. The last 3 miles of my ride were generally uphill and into a 25mph wind this morning. I was up with the sun, and the first 19 miles were GREAT!

FINALLY got back on the Paramount this morning after NO BIKING for a week. Not allowed to ride due to having blood work yesterday for my prostate cancer. After a very restless 2.5 hours of sleep I hit the road at 12:46AM hoping to have the almost full moon assisting in lighting the way. WRONG.... very warm, humid and cloudy. Things cleared momentarily at 2:35 for 10 minutes so off went the lights. Clouds came back but this time they also brought rain. Had an hour plus of light drizzle making a mess of the clean bike and then it started coming down harder. Was hoping to get 80 to 85 miles before I stopped but only made 76. Spent 30 minutes cleaning the bike up and re-oiled then a quick shower, kit change, choco milk, couple of eggs on a tortillas, espresso, bottles refilled and good to go out again. Met the group at our LBS and off again. Managed another 45 miles by the time I got back home before even heavier rains so a good wet day's ride. One month will be my 67th birthday and today's ride was the start of preparation for the 175 to 200 I have scheduled for my B-day ride.

25.5 miles (41.0k). Rode downtown Reno with a friend and watched part of the Tour de Nev race. Man, there are some nice bikes there. Mostly Specialized Tarmacs, one Trek, a Mazi, and a super slick looking BMC.

24 tandem miles on the Screamer this morning with my favorite stoker. Then, later, 13 lucky miles on the ti 'bent.

13 miles this evening after adjusting the handlebars on the new-to-me Centurion Ironman. Mostly climbing hills so I could practice climbing out of the saddle. My balance is getting better, not wobbling around quite so frantically.

Feels a bit better. The stem was too high, an inch above the high limit line, and still not comfortable. So I lowered it to the limit line -- still well below saddle height -- and tipped the bar back to elevate the hoods and shorten the reach slightly when I'm in the hoods. Yeah, this broke the rule about the drops being parallel to the ground. Bah, humbug.

50 miles yesterday on a club ride. There were only two of us in the High Bees, but we rode the first 12 miles with the A Riders, which was a treat. Very disciplined and a faster pace.

0.2 miles (0.3k). Wasn't worth the effort. I know that Monday is un-rideable, rain and heavy winds. So I thought I'd get in a longer ride today. Ha! Put on the new Hincapie bib tights, loaded the jacket pockets, pumped up the tires on the Roubaix, got less than a block away and it started a steady drizzle, almost rain, enough to make it a non-ride

Went out this morning hoping to do a nice 60 mile ride and ended up with 40 miles because the rain showers came sooner than expected. Not looking good for me trying to get a 5th consecutive 1K month.

15 tandem miles this afternoon. Included lunch at Steak'n'Shake. Not sure if 15 miles made a dent in that meal's calories but not a problem as I have finally lost my Winter Weight. Ten pounds below my winter max wt.

Got the 121 miles in yesterday just as the rains returned......big time!!!! Today I took the grocery grabber out to check friend's house following those heavy rains. 12 miles to his house and found water in his garage. Took care of the issue then biked home. Thankfully the sun was behind clouds but it was still 89F with very high humidity and the tiny gnats were worse than Love Bugs.

20 miles on the Centurion Ironman. No faster and more painful than the upright hybrid. Still not convinced this is the right bike for me, but I'll give it a few weeks.

Rode to work this morning. Heard a couple of loud pops about halfway. Inspected the bike at work and discovered 3 broken spokes! Looks like I get to learn how to replace spokes!

You probably know this already, but you'll likely want to replace all of the spokes. Once one goes, the others aren't usually far behind.

Well, the bike's only about a month old. Priority is sending me replacement spokes and said they will pay for the labor! It's probably my fault though. Being a mail-order only bike, I put it together and should have taken it to my LBS to have them go over it. But it rode great for a couple of hundred miles, so I thought it was good. Guess I'll take it in now to have them replace the spokes and give it the once over!
