20.x miles this afternoon in gorgeous weather: 73F, blue sky, low humidity (35%) and minimal wind (sub 10 MPH). Plus only one semi-interested dog.

Around 35 today, still had cold hands into the wind, did just over 20 miles today, scored a pair of thermal bibs 60% off, keeping legs warmer kept feet warmer :-)

The wife and I drove 2 hours to Portland today, so she could find costumes for "Hair Spray", and I could ride about in PDX. We parted ways at 11:30, I wandered about, visited Velo Cult, and was on my way. In a nice neighborhood round about, I'm riding in a crosswalk, a car stops, starts rolling and BUMPS me. I'm unhurt (never even knocked off the bike) we talk a bit she goes on her way, me on mine. I notice I have a new squeek from the rear of bike, the wheel is bent. Ride to nearby bike shop, mechanic and I are talking about bent rim/true it up a bit etc, my cell phone rings, it's the wife, her van window got broke and stuff gone thru. It happened at the same time I got bumped.... call the police, not serious enough to respond to( it happens all the time ) Plastic bag the window frame and drive 2 hours home.... I did get to ride 4 miles tho.... So average speed is 1 mile per hour I guess. Tim

Finished & filed our taxes and rodehttps://www.strava.com/activities/275597701 against a stiff breeze to Winters for lunch. Steady Eddy's was hopping with a large group of cyclists from Berkeley who were riding to Davis then taking Amtrak back to Berkeley. Good fun, fun ride.

Ten degrees warmer today than Saturday but stiff breeze and overcast so felt no warmer: Eight miles with stoker on the Screamer.

Still windy and chilly for this time of year. Rode with one of my buddies today for a nice 22 mile ride.

25 miles this afternoon, much the same as yesterday's weather, chilly for March. The winds are switched to the Southeast for now. The riding was excellent.

My goal is 100+ miles per week. I hit that again with today's ride.

I've been away from BF a while; I may need a tutorial so my links are clean and I know how to post pics again.

The upside is I'm still riding, and raising awareness for cyclists among my Association of Realtors. Many have shared tales of how a cyclist saved them from a crash on a blind turn. I'm on board with that.

Except for 15mph + headwinds for return trip the low 60's temps made for a great 25 mile no sweat adventure.

It was supposed to be my day off, with a nice, long ride, but I ended up being on call so all I could do is 10 miles of loops through the neighborhood. Still, any day on a bike is a good day.

Nice group ride today for 9mi & finished it off with 6 more on the River bike path. 75° but windy this afternoon.
I've been so into the trike and road bikes lately I've ignored the Sirrus (flat bar). Every time I climb back on it I realize what a nice bike it is. I love retirement where the most difficult decision I have to make is which bike (or trike) I'm gonna ride today. Hey, it's a tough life but somebody's gotta do it.

First club ride in more than 7 months. 21 miles on the ride and a little more than 20 going to and from the ride start/finish. It was a "B" ride and the pace and total mileage were similar to what I do for a recovery ride in the summer when I'm fit. No way it was a recovery ride tonight - 40 miles is a lot for me at the moment - but I'm headed in the right direction.

31 mile loop down to the Tidal Basin. The cherry blossoms have barely begun to show buds, but already the traffic with the buses and tourists is horrendous. Guess I go the other way for a month or so...

Monday, 25 miles in the log book, rain started as I turned in to the driveway at home. Timing is everything.

I got a late start (for me) and didn't hit the road until almost 5:00 this morning. I managed to get in 20 miles which is a lot for me on a work day. The first 15 miles were on my long loop without stop signs around the lake and then my wife joined me for the last five miles around the neighborhood. She just got a townie and is just starting back to riding a bicycle. The sunrise over the lake was absolutely beautiful this morning.

Seems like the temps got back to normal today. Nice and sunny with temps in the low 70's and moderate winds at the start of the ride. Nice 35 mile ride that started off being a solo ride but ended up with me riding the last 8 miles with the wife.

I've heard March is supposed to come in like a lion and go out like a lamb. It had a mighty roar today. 13 miles on the Sirrus in 18mph winds with 30+ blow-you-over gusts. Good workout tho.

The field looked great to ride across. Freedom! No traffic! Then I hit thick mud. The wheels spun, but I stayed up. Muscled it back to the road. Then came the fun part. Going down a steep hill, the mud started flinging off in an incredible shower. Hit every part of me, the road, small children, dogs... Well, maybe not dogs. Exhilarating experience for an old road bike guy.

Tuesday, 25 miles, again, had to attend a bid opening so it was late getting going, for me. Nice sunny day, but the WSW winds were kind of stiff and blustery. March went out as a common spring day, thankfully.
