Another day of great weather for a very nice, 50 mile, Christmas Eve ride. Loving this Florida weather.

Enjoyed the continuing December springtime weather with 12 miles on the road, another half hour climbing some mushy gravel trails for leg strength and balance, and ended with hauling groceries home for baking punkin/sweet potato pies and bread for Christmas day.

Its Thursday so the wife and I rode at the park again. Just love it when families take up the entire path (10' wide) or the dog walkers with two or three dogs on those retractable leashes at full extension! Bah ! Humbug!

Have not been on the bike since Sunday due to rain and more rain; we might be able to ride Sat and Sun if the weather forecast is correct; stuck at 5031 miles for the year

With 60* temps on Long island, I took the MTB our for a 11 mile ride in the woods. The fog was really thick so i worm my "safety yellow" wind breaker.

Tee shirt and shorts on Christmas day, who wudda thunk it.

Since it FINALLY stopped raining (briefly) here in Richmond, Virginia, I decided to take a very short, quick, 6.32 mile ride through the neighborhood side streets before relatives arrive for all the Christmas festivities.

Sure enough, the sun was briefly trying to break through the clouds as I was riding. As soon as I got back, wiped my old C&V Fuji road bike down, I looked at the sky in the horizon and it was all dark - yet again - so, more rain is coming.

Edit: Merry Christmas everyone... Believe it or not, it is an incredible 73°F outside!!!

Near 80 here today. Had a nice 24 mile ride including a "new" road I'd never ridden. Not far away, but relatively hidden, I hadn't been down that way in a couple of years as much of the road it used to be a dirt road that was far too sandy to be passable. There is a long hill that was always paved, but then the road turned to dirt after a few turns. Never tried it a second time as you have to turn around and go back up the same hill you just came down and that's no fun. But over the past couple of years the county has paved a few other dirt roads in the area, so I figured I give this one another shot. And it was now nicely paved road with a stretch of 3 or 4 miles with nothing but woods. It will be a nice addition to my 'neighborhood' loops.

Very nice weather, indeed, in Indy. We enjoyed a very rare Christmas Screamer ride this afternoon between family get-togethers.

55 brutally windy miles this morning with Frank D. Winds were strong enough to to clear out the park early and even slow Tarzan down today.

Yep; 42kms today: 5 degrees C (much colder with the wind chill), but dry/clear. Unbelievable run of weather we've had here given the time of year; managed good rides Christmas Eve, C. Day, and Boxing Day.

Ma (Nature) dumped heavy snow on us Thursday. Had a White Christmas. It's cold (25°) but sunny so I decided to pack the trike into the SUV and check out the bike path (see photo below). Only 2.2 miles in half an hour. It's not just a ride, it's an adventure. And no - those are not snow tires. Two inclines required "front wheel assistance" (hands on wheels and push).

Got in one more springtime in December ride Saturday before the weather turned cold and wet here in north central Texas. Did around 16-18 miles between road and gravel. Strong gusty winds, so slow going but still enjoyable. Also found some inclined turf these 700x40 Michelin Protek Cross Max can't climb, but overall I'm satisfied with the handling on the terrain I'm most likely to encounter during my meandering rides.

Amazing weather, mid-70's and clear. I took the fixed gear out for 30 miles, not too fast but some challenging hills.

Took it a little easier on today's 32 mile ride. Winds were nowhere as bad as yesterday so my buddy Lou and I took advantage of it.

Sure did, three rides one run in the last four days — what a gift to get these kinds of temps in the Northeast at Christmastime. A little hard to say that it was all joy, though, as the news from Texas, Arkansas and Missouri was sad with the twisters causing devastation. Hope those folks get help in putting their lives together.

McPhilly's: It was a sultry day for a winter ride, but who's complaining?

Catching up, from last weeks absence:
Monday and Tuesday were rain and wind with no rides, a precursor to the next several days/weeks.
Wednesday, 16.35 miles, raining out, but riding was sorely needed, cut things off when it started coming down a little harder, and the winds became really gusty.
Thursday, 16.5 miles, squeezed these miles in before all of the Christmas Eve commitments. Still raining and very windy, again.
Friday (Christmas Day,) 25.5 miles, it stopped raining early in the morning, and didn't start again until night time. winds were not quite as strong as they early part of the week, thankfully.
Saturday, 25.5 miles, same as Friday, just not as windy, pretty nice day, actually.
Sunday, 20.50 miles, Raining, but not very hard, winds started kicking in towards the end of this ride. Still humid/muggy.

This week is supposed to bring more rain and winds, at least we are not having the severe storms, and tornadoes, that Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, and some other states are cleaning up from. Prayers for all those that have lost loved ones and/or their homes.
