40 miles including an evening group ride and the ride to and from. Hot, even after dark, so I loaf-cycled.

Nice weekly miles, even for a young duffer. Being retired and riding every day sure beats sitting on the porch watching the grass grow.

Nice blue skies and warm temps this morning and I was all set for my normal, Saturday, 60 mile ride with my buddy Frankie. Ride was going nicely until it started to rain around mile 38. Didn't know what to expect because it was pouring and the sun was still out with blue skies. Since we were already soaked, we opted to finish the 60 mile ride but then it started to thunder, so I decided that was the end of the ride and headed back to the van. Got back to the van, dripping wet with a 45 mile ride under my belt.

25.0 miles (40.2k). WU (Weather Underground) sez cooler today but still the predicted high is 95. 101 by next Wed. 85.5 n' sunny by the time I finished the ride at 11AM. Decided against a long solo ride out to Mayberry Park so I extended my regular ride on the Sparks bike path. Some @22mph. Wheee. Absolutely loving this Roubaix Pro. Started riding it July 6, almost 400 miles on it already. 745 miles this month (and another 2 days to go).

Yo
I forgot to say that I did my long ride today, 13 miles! Pretty good if you consider I was riding 2-3 miles a couple months ago. That's the farthest I've ridden in 15 years. I will end this week with about 50 miles.

9 mile easy cruise around the neighborhood to stretch the sore legs and fetch some coffee for the morning. Even my loaf-cycling on the hybrid is getting faster. Doesn't feel like I'm riding fast, but my average is pushing closer to 14 mph just loafing around the neighborhood. I guess the interval training pain sessions on the road bike is working.

52 Miles today, broke 3,000 for the year. Exact same hours as all last year, but since I moved to an area with few big hills it took 240 miles more to match last years hours. another hot day 92°, going to be in the 100°s next week.

10 miles with the wife on our comfort bikes, it's "Mansoon Season" here in So. CO. so it rains a LOT, we finally got a couple of hours to ride in the DRY so we took a short area ride, stopped at Sonic and then rode home before it again started to rain!

21 miles on Saturday, some of it on trails with no wind, some on the road, where the wind was occasionally strong:

12 miles this afternoon on the ti 'bent after finishing replacing the ceiling fan with a new one in our bedroom. (Fan and light work!)
This bike has been a bit twitchy on steep climbs (it's a long wheelbase bike with a pronounced rear weight bias) but felt better today on a couple of short, steepish hills after recent adjustments of seatback angle and riser/handlebar positioning so that I am now a bit less reclined and closer to the bars.

Torrential downpours awaited me when I rolled into town from my extended Jersey weekend trip, but I waited it out and was rewarded with clearing skies. Roads were a bit damp in spots, bit not slick wet. 41 miles total....
If the weather cooperates, this is a good week to put on some heavy miles in my quest to get 6k for the year.....

65.3 miles in today. Weather was beautiful for eastern NC. Low humidity and 82 degrees out made it feel really nice compared to what we have been getting.

After starting last week climbing up and down Skyline Drive and canoeing down the south fork of the Shenandoah River took a couple of days off and did my usual 26 miles on a rain soaked Saturday.
This morning bumped my daily ride up to 30 miles in the morning and did another 17 in the afternoon for a total of 47 miles on a virtually cloudless 75 degree brilliant day.

Finally nudged past my 16 mph overall goal on 17 miles of the neighborhood interval training route. The hills are still my yellow Kryptonite -- they keep fooling my lungs into thinking we can't breathe.
