First ride after my accident a couple weeks ago. Covered 77km. I guess all the lube for my inner thighs helped me forget or overcome the pain in the knee.

Finally got out on the bike again

Just finished a 34 mile ride on a beautiful Maine day.

A complete rebuild of our side porch has kept me busy on too many days but today I just said, "I need a break!"
Glad I did.

42 miles in clear but windy conditions. In my face the entire return trip, still managed almost 18.5 mph. Of course, the wind has died down now that the sun's low in the sky. Gonna be a gorgeous FL sunset...

Just 42 Miles today, it's the shortest route on my rotation of set rides. Was hot, 94+ but there are several irrigation canals full of cold snow melt and one park I stop at and soak my jersey and sun sleeves in to cool off. Next ten days are going to be 100 or better, going to have to stay near the canals and parks. Have a few cold rivers I can cool off in too.

No rain this this morning made for a very nice 41 mile, solo ride. After yesterday's rain, temps dropped down into the low 80s this morning and cooled things down a bit. But, yesterday's rain also flooded out the gully to where it couldn't be crossed. The loop is now two way traffic until the water at the gully subsided. All-in-all, a very nice day for a bike ride.

33 miles Tuesday morning while it was overcast and a bit cooler. Mostly worked on sprint intervals on one of the flatter routes around town.

24.1 miles (38.8k). Last ride with Kiwanis lady before she goes to Tennessee for her multi-mile rides. She did, however, buy a new bike, 2017 Specialized Dolce 44cm. Good looking machine, about 8 lbs lighter than her 27 year old Terry (bar end shifters).
I've put the Tarmac S-Works up for sale but decided to ride it again today (of the 5 bikes I've ridden it the most this year). If I didn't need the $$ to pay for the new Roubaix Pro I wouldn't sell it, beautiful machine.

Bread and butter training ride this morning. I leave the house at 6:40, ride to the office to drop my backpack, then to the bike trail where I meet my buddy. 2x30' sweet spot ride, then back to the office, shower, change, at my desk by 9.

Had another delayed departure time so didn't get out until 3:25AM. Finished 50 miles riding all the streets within .75 mile from my house by making only right hand turns. Quick stop at home for a dry kit then out again for 55 additional miles.

93 Degrees when I left the garage, but no humidity nor threat of rain. Cooled down some, only a flat put a slight damper on an otherwise great day to ride. 42 mile total ride today.

On a more somber note, my dealer informed me that Specialized discontinued the Roubaix Pro UDi2 for 2018. He offered me a 2018 Expert, coming out in November, or the S Works with Dura Ace Ui2 for twice the price (10k +). I think OldTryGuy is getting the 2018 Expert with UDi2, and we may be twins if I decide to go this route.

19 miles today taking the most direct routes to and from work. Stopped for a light in downtown Indy and a woman crossing the street with (I suppose) husband and son got a little excited and said 'Oh, I love recumbent bikes!' Usually only get that from children - 'Cool bike!'

27.4 miles (44.1k). Temps hit 103° yesterday, hotter today. The air on bare arms was cool this morning but heated up in a hurry. By the time I got home at noon it was 98°. Whew!

60 miles, hot today 97°F getting very used to this heat. Almost ran out of water, had ice in my last bottle, but no water. Could have stopped at a convenience store, but I knew I wasn't too far from the park where I could refill.

Chances of rain today but none where I was until late in the evening. 21 miles as a bike commuter today. Took the morning off so my ride in at noon was much lighter on auto traffic then the norm which was nice.

Anaerobic capacity interval set today. Dropped my backpack at the office, headed out to my intervals road, did the set, waved to a teammate commuting the other way, rode back to the office.

14.3 mile ride to and from Cox Pinnacle, the highest point in Brunswick. Pushed my bike up the trail .5 miles each way. Did some birdwatching, saw chickadee, woodpecker and eagle.
