17 miles after work today. Headwinds seemed to be hitting me the whole way.
77 degrees and dry, nice weather for a ride.

Riding strong

I am a 52 year old black female. I try to ride every day rain or shine. Today I road for an hour and a half, about 15 miles. I am getting stronger every day, and at my age I cant aford to miss a day. Building bikes is my hobby . riding is my release.

13 days in a row of rides over 10 miles, 282 miles total, max HR over 170 on every ride. Only one ride of 50 miles though. It is hard to find that much continuous time to spend riding, there is always something that comes up on the weekend or sometimes comes down from the sky. Weekdays it is mostly commuting, 10 miles each way, but I make the most of it by riding hard. 170 pounds now, down from 205.

Today I ride again, tomorrow I've decided will be a rest day, Maybe.

I got up early to beat the heat and humidity, and got in a 105 minute ride this morning.

1990 Trek 7000 mtb here. It's mostly been upgraded with new dynamo wheels with Gatorskin 26x1 1/8, 10sp XT and Deore, XT vbrakes, and a few other parts. It rides great but it still isn't a road bike. I've done up to 50 miles on it but generally use it for my 10 mile each way commute.

When the winds howling like it is today the mtb comes in real handy. Always thought the 7000 was a nice bike.

10 mile early ride. Needed the arm warmers. 62*F and 52% humidity when I got home.

Headed to eastern WA for a 2 day biking mini-vacation.

No rode on Monday; bike cleaning day. Tuesday was a 40 mile ride, 60 miles for yesterday and another 40 miles for today. Gotta start remembering to post daily again.

13 miles, 9 average speed and about 700 feet climbing. Finally getting used to low O2. Looking fwd to increasing mileage and climbing time - goal is to reach 10,000 feet elevation by 10/1.

5 miles with the comfort hybrid on a very hot Thursday afternoon, test ride after swapping freewheels. Original Shimano MegaRange 14-34 freewheel is very picky about chains -- anything but very narrow plates around the rollers/pins will cause the chain to climb out of the smaller cogs and skip. Fixed the problem with a SunRace 13-25 freewheel I had as a spare for my road bike. Better shifting and overall gear pattern too.

My busted up shoulder isn't quite ready for the road bike outdoors (although I'm using it on the indoor trainer). But the comfy hybrid with big tires, suspension fork and higher handlebar is just about right for now.

My usual 50 mile route. Rode the opposite of the way I usually do to beat a very strong headwind, didn't work too well as on the 9 mile long exposed section the wind was coming very strong directly from my right. I put my action cam on my bike today, nothing exciting, didn't have it on when a Border Collie came at me, it missed my foot by an inch, then turned to chase me a short distance, I don't think a dog that smart would bite me probably wanted to try to scare me. Turned down a road I don't usually ride, found this.

Never saw anyone growing this in this area before

Trainer day again - 9.1 mi @ 15.0 mph avg. The only thing that saves the day is the view. Looking across headwaters of the Rio Grande river and down the San Luis valley makes it more tolerable.

What started off as a nice 60 mile ride with the guys tuned into a very wet, rained out 34 mile ride in an earlier than expected thunderstorm. Good thing there was no lightning nearby.

19.5 miles today, around 11 AM. A warm 82 degrees, and humid also.
The weekend traffic in Vacationland has started already....difficult crossing Route 1 to get over near the beach.

Not today but put in a 25 miler last night after work. Did a couple of personal bests. Ride time 1:47. Avg speed 13.9. Not bad for a 63 yo dude on a 33 yo Peugeot.

Another 8-9 miles late Thursday night after installing new shifters and cables and tweaking the old comfort hybrid. Everything's working better now, including the busted shoulder.
