Modest Milestone

Well my meter read today that I've ridden over 1000 miles this year. Those 15-20 mile rides add up. I just checked Maps and that is about the distance from here in Allentown, PA to Daytona Beach, FL. Back when I raced that wouldn't seem like much this far into the season but now it seems like a lot.

Oh well a milestone for me anyway.

I checked my logs Saturday and I was a little over 2K for the season. I might top out at about 4K this year - a big jump over years past.

Conrats, LongT

I thought I would get more rides after retirement but gardening, grand-kids and multiple other things keep getting in the way I just checked and my logs indicate 1600 for this year.

Good job LongT!!!
I looked last night and will be turning 2300 tonight. I will however be averaging less mph this month than any previous month this year. I guess the longer I get the slower I get?

Is the car in your avatar yours? Looks like a nice ride. Wouldn't also be on the HAMB would you? Coming up to the Wheels of Time in Macungie, PA?

My other ride is a T-bucket. Pretty much standard 350/350 combo. Fun though.

Bill

May be a "Modest" milestone- but modesty doesn't suit you. So get on the bike and wear the tyres out before the end of the year.

Have to admit that my milage is way down this year. Only about 1500 so far and they have not been hard rides. Just can't find the time in the evenings and weekends are getting crowded. Will just have to find the time to get in either a few more rides- or get the milage up on the rides I can manage.

keep up the good work. I am probably about the same but do not have odometer on the several bikes that I ride. Doc today however said I have lost about 10 pounds and can cut blood pressure medicine in half. yea.

Yes it is my car, there is a thread here "Sharing other 50+ Intrests" and I have a larger picture in there of it.
I have been on HAMB but not for a longtime. And I have never been to Macungie but would love to . I might have to check it out and see about it. I have heard it is a good show to go to. It would be all new stuff to see and I hear it is all "old stuff too" so that intrests me too. Have seen reports on it so yeah I would like to check it out sometime.
Been to York, Hershey, Shades of the Past in Tenn. and a few others but it has been a few years to be honest as I have sort of lost intrest(sort of) as of late.
As for being fun I like driving mine more than showing , I just get tired of sitting around a car show these days. Mine has a 454/350 but I want ( and have a tremec 5 speed in garage) so I can really drive it and have some fun. I have a lead on a flathead too.

Sorry for the thread jack.
