Hello from Vancouver Island

Hello all, Yesterday was my birthday and I turned 50. One of the better things about that was I could finally wear my new 50+ jersey.
So today I rode my age in miles I think, I rode 87km, which I think is around 50 miles.
Anyways hello, I live on Vancouver Island in BC Canada, which for you folk from down south is north of Seattle, in the lovely Pacific North West.
I didn't have pie afterwards I took my daughter and her boyfriend out for a Blizzard.
I will post a picture when I get that figured out : )

Welcome!

Good for the 50 miles. Does that make you 87 Canadian years old?

Welcome. I appreciate your respect shown the jersey and posting . . . . actually waiting until you're 50.

Beautiful. I spent a few days on a boat in Nanaimo harbor in the 70s. It was a nice little town.

Welcome; I love Vancouver Island. My wife was just asking the other day when we can go back to Tofino...

You're lucky to live over there - I've been discovering the great scenic rides (and gentle hills) you've got. So far I've done the rails-to-trails around Victoria, the beautiful Saanich Peninsula, plus a neat triangle Tsawwassen-Victoria-Nanaimo-Horseshoe Bay. Farthest north has been Parksville, so looking forward to exploring Courtenay and Campbell River. Victoria's also a convenient departure point for the Olympic Peninsula. I can see why people move to the Island!
