New (folding) bike

We bought a Xootr Swift - google it, or look at the site for Spa
Cycles Harrogate where we bought it from - during our recent trip back to UK

I'm very pleased with it. Not the smallest when folded, but it rides superbly.

I took it out for the customary weekend morning 50 km route after I'd
assembled it, and it ran very nicely. Then, in search of direct
comparison, did the same straight after on my best road bike (lots of
carbon fibre, light wheels, Shimano Ultegra
, 4 times the price of the Xootr) and was only 8 minutes faster.
(It was hotter by then, and I had already done 50 kms, but even so I
thought that was pretty impressive for a folder)

So, we'll probably buy its twin too so Seana and I will have a
matching pair for future overseas cycling adventures. In that spirit,
we're planning a Calais to Mediterranean trip for early summer 2010

Bikes, eh

Pictures will follow when I can figure out how.

Nice looking folder. Definitely a step or two up from mine.
