Yippie!

Every Sunday when I wake up I weigh myself. Today the scale told me I weighed 249 pounds. I know this is only important to me but, this is the first time in ten maybe fifteen years that I have weighed less than 250 lbs. I was a little concerned because I was only on the bike twice this past week because it rained every day except Sunday and Tuesday. On to 240.

Or else you could spend $17,234 or so and reduce the weight of your bike by almost ten pounds.

Congratulations.

That's a major achievement. Don't be discouraged if it's 151 tomorrow. small fluctuations happen, but the trend is down. Good work!

actually if he's 151 tomorrow he should be very concerned seeing as he's 249 now. congrats on seeing that number on the scale, keep up what ever you are doing.

For years I was runing at around 140 lbs. Then a couple of years ago it rose to 147. Stayed at that but last winter I went up to 155. I felt sluggish- trousers didn't fit and I was tired.

Then last Sunday I wore the only pair of cycling shorts that I own. They kept slipping down. Got home and showered and got the scales out of the cupboard

I have finally found a use for cycling shorts as opposed to bibs. When they start slipping- time to get on the scales. I am down to 148. Now all I have to do is lose another 8 lbs and I might be ready to go offroad again.

But why the weight loss? I haven't been riding much this year and no other reason to account for it. Must be the wifes cooking. With her weight gain (Hence the hiding of the scales) I think we must both be on a diet. Just as long as she keeps the food coming I don't care but time for another slice of PIE.

Hey, that's not just important to you- it's a big deal to family and friends! And whereever you buy your pants.
Congratulations.

Congrats on the weight loss . . .
Combined, my wife and I weigh in at just under 250 lbs.
Keeping tabs on weight/fitness is important.
Best exercise: push away from the table, cut out the beer and snacks and . . . pedal!

Well done!

I went from 225 to 165 over a period of time. Stayed at 165 until early this year and thought 165 was my proper "fighting weight". For whatever reason, I've been as low as 159 this year and hovering around 160 - 163.

Ride on!
