Where have I been? I'm back!

I haven't been keeping up with bikeforums.net for some time. I have occasionally chatted with DG. If you think he is a great guy here you should meet him in person. Highly recommended.

My time has been filled with some health issues and studying music. In fact, I am currently bike-less and considering making a sign and hitting a street corner near you looking for donations to buy a bike. I thought this might work:

Help! I'm Fat
Need Bicycle
Help Buy Freddy a Bike

I do need to get back in shape and remember some really inspirational riders here fighting cancer and keeping cycling in their recovery plans. Truly humbling!

Hope all is well with the thread and all the participants.

Good to see you back. Hope you find that bike soon

Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Here in Dallas I see CL ads occaisionally that say a student needs a bike, they don't seem to run long so I think they must be successful.
Just try and be reasonable. I believe the guys with a sob story, followed by a request for a late model Madone with Dura Ace components don't get many replys.

Aw, shucks, Fred. You say the nicest things!

Glad you're back. I'm rather in and out and back in and back out on the forum lately. (That way, someone is always pleased...)

Take up Cardholder Name's offer soon and get back on a bike. Glad you're back!

It's time for some riding and improved health!

If our neighborhood is any indication, you could probably score a decent bike within a day by sitting on a corner with the sign:

Music student
will give your
poor neglected
bike a good home
and regular exercise,
freeing up some of
your garage space.
