Why don't I stay logged in?

I'm not talking about leaving the site and coming back later and having to log in. What's happening to me is I log in, start reading posts, come to one I want to make a reply to, write a quick reply and when I hit "post reply" I get the message that I'm not allowed to post because I'm not logged in. This can happen less than 5 minutes after I see the "Welcome Jean Beetham Smith" message.

When you log in, do you remember to check the little box that says, "remember me"?

No that sets the cookies so you don't have to log in when you come back to the Forum from another site. I log in, I get the welcome message and my name stays in the log in spot, but then when I try to post it will say I'm not logged in about 30% of the time. It has only been a problem since the upgrade/downgrade.

I can stay logged in all day long so long as i click the remember me box. If i dont click remember me box when logging in then it will log me out in around 5/10 mins. Miss kentons suggestion is correct to fix problem.

If this works out, to click on "remember me," you xan always click on "logout" is you want to get completely off. I don't know if that actually removes the cookie, however.

I have no problem staying logged in, but I check the remember me.

Still a lot of bug in the downgraded upgrade.

Miss Kenton is correct. I had a similar problem, but as soon as I checked the "remember me" I didn't get kicked out mid activity within the forum.

I have a similar problem and have been wanting to post about it for a while. I even get kicked off when I navigate from 50+ to Road Cycling! Maybe some subtle message being sent to me?

Anyway box checked or not, I often have to log back on during a session. Input and help please? You know when you are old you hate to waste the time you still have.

Yeah that happens to me as well at times. If I want to reply and it takes me some time to do so for whatever reason it will . I also notice it if I follow links on a post and start to look around there and then when I get back on track I need to log on again if I want to reply.

I find it annoying at most but I roll with it.

This happens to me when I'm using FireFox, but it works fine with IE7.

I'm using IE8. I'm pretty sure I was before the upgrade/downgrade, when I had no problems.
